I have no strong reads vs the player, but i am tight aggressive and havent gotten out of line. His stats are 40/11/1.
I have one note which reads,

"Raise and then Call 3bet LP AKs floats AK high on the flop check behind later streets"

I felt his play was either the Nuts or air, i don't think a player with those stats wouldn't turn a PP like 66-TT into a bluff. I felt he woulda raised a set on the flop so him having a boat on this board is unlikely which is why i wanted to call despite his low aggression. His play on the flop and turn also indicates either a weaker PP or a FD.

My question is, what should i do on the turn with that read, and as played do I call river?

wow this is so close....i really feel like a call here is necessary simply b/c the board bricked out turn/river and that should be our plan anyways, since we played it so passively. bleh. hard to put him on a real hand tbh...

I push on turn

He'd check/call with a set on the flop and then bet out when he hits full house?

all Im afraid of is a flopped straight

well this is fr maybe I should keep quiet. There is only 7 players though..

agreed that 67 or a very unlikely 64 type of hand are your only concerns

this is a very passive player from my experience, the only hand we ever beat here is a busted fd and i think thats really unlikely. i like to fold on the turn here vs this guy

Showed after you called or showed his bluff?

I thought it looked like a busted flushdraw but I didn't wanna comment since I play 1/2 not 3/6 :D
But now that I can disguise my comment as a question I will.

Hm.. Off-suite socks..

Folding river here looks so bad. If you call turn, call river too.

Personally if you plan to put any more money in on the turn, just shove.

nolan   Ireland. Sep 21 2007 13:36. Posts 6205

i'll flat here a lot with your hand but it is almost always to induce a bluff from any diamond hand and call a non-diamond river.

i think this line is a busted FD more often than a boat. most people will not lead into you with a boat it doesnt make sense. you'll likely bet if you have a hand anyways and you'll most likely fold an A high / garbage hand so his line just doesnt make sense unless he thinks youre overaggressive which i doubt he thinks because he probably doesnt think at all.

i think to narrow it down he has 5-4 or air, that combination 90% of the time.

if you were STUNNED to see KQdd...why did you even call on the turn lol

seriously, push or fold the turn, and i'm pretty sure i'm with yugless here about just folding the turn without a pretty good read...

BUT, this is a super important hand to make a note about, since you did see a showdown. many tight/passive players make the mistake of having a super-transparent style for their rare bluffs...and it looks like this guy's "style" of bluff is to take the betting lead away and just jam his money in oop.

i folded and he showed bluff..

I called turn because i felt this villain was incapable of bluffing due to his stats but then the shove really looked like a bluff and it confused me..

i think u misunderstood me. reread the post i replied to yug.
basically im saying there is a good chance villain leads with something i beat on the turn, but is in capable of bluffing if he misses on river. so basically i get a cheap showdown by calling turn.

no, he tought he didnt have the balls to shove the river after semi bluffing the turn with a missed bluff... which in general is a bad way to think and one that leads to losses.
