<img src="http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Raidern/uboc.png" align="right" style="margin:5px; border:1px solid black;">The fourth season of the Ultimate Bet Online Championship kicked off last Wednesday on UB, to the rejoice of poker players from all around the world. The tournament series offers $4 million in guaranteed prizes and is played from January 20-31. The UBOC is composed by 18 tournaments, each one of them hosted by one of UB's professional players.

The majority of the events will be played on No Limit Hold'em, but there some interesting tournament options in the schedule, such as the event #2, which will play the limit games of HORSE together with PLO, NLH, and PLO8. Also, there will be a 4-max NLHE tournament, a kind of tournament that really encourages players to play aggressively. The series ends with the UBOC Championship, the 2-day main event of the series. The buy-in of this event will be worth of $1,050, and it will have a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. The smaller buy-in of the series is $109, and the most expensive is $2,600

Following the trend of the market, UBOC also pleases low stakes players with its smaller brother, the Mini-UBOC. Mini-UBOC will have the same tournaments as the UBOC, and they will be played at the exact same time, but with buy-ins worth only 1/10 of the buy-in of its UBOC counter-part. If you think these buy-ins are too big for your bankroll, or you want to play the tournaments without investing too much, you can satellite your way up to one of these events in one of the numerous satellites offered by Ultimate Bet. You can check the full schedule of the series, including satellites, at the Ultimate Bet website.

This edition of the UBOC has very attractive promotions as well, the most interesting is the Bubble Buster one. This promo will award any player who cash in 11 or more tournaments a round $1 million! Mission impossible? Okay, but there are prizes for each player who cash in more than one event. Starting at 2 cash finishes, players will get free seats in progressively more interesting tournaments for each additional cash finish. Head here to learn more about all the UBOC promos.

it's pretty shocking that people still play on UB, also that UB gets advertised here.

The weird thing is I think McCain will win this. Im 100% certain Obama wont be elected and you guys can mark my words - Sheitan

Agreed. When the original scandal happened I'm pretty sure LP said they would have nothing to do with UB again (correct me if I'm wrong). What happened cannot be allowed to just 'blow over'. A con happened and then an obvious whitewash happened afterwards, and anything that touches it cannot be clean by association. Online poker is not regulated by the normal authorities and is effectively lawless; all that is left is the behaviour of the community.

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.

no, but why is it advertsing a company that stole millions of dollars from the high stakes community?

this hatred of Ultimate bet is getting stupid. ultimate bet did not F there customers they have paids millions to those cheated.. from my understanding 1 or 2 of there employees hacked the system and cheated (obv asshats that should diagf for eternity) ultimate bet would never want or allow or encourage this.

this is the same as if acouple of police officers blackmailed innocent (or slight speeders etc) into bribes to not get in trouble. obviously those officers should and would be prosecuted. the only diffrence is that the cheaters in this case sadly were not, so people take it out on UB.

people act as if its UB's gameplan to cheat all of its customers out of there money.

ultimate bet is probably one of the safest sites we can play on atm imho.

because lp as a poker newsgiving site is supposed to report on all poker news. them not reporting on some major tournaments happening at UB may not inform LP members about an awesome tournament (myself in this case).

honestly i think everyone should stfu about ub scandals, it should be a thing that is forgotten as well as who the fuck cares unless u lost money yourself. if u think they are a bunch of crooks dont play there its not like they hurt u in any way

This

99% of people who are up in arms everytime UB is mentioned had no money stolen and just ride around on this bandwagon.

Give it a rest.

Yes of course i'm serious. Tons of times I hear horrid live players say they'd play online if it wasn't rigged. OBV for the good of the community I do my best to explain to them that it is 100% legit

but then they bring up that scandal. then I have to say OH YEAH WAIT ITS LEGIT ONLY ON STARS AND FTP

and they never come and play

your thougth process is so backwards. The company steals millions of dollars and actually provides verifiable evidence to anybody claiming, or of the opinion, that online poker is 'rigged', so the poker community should forget it happened and continue to support them?

truly, truly moronic thinking.

Oly was spot on with his post.

ummm there's like 3 places for americans to play, stars ftp and ub

stars and ftp have good tournaments. now UB is trying to spread more big action

they had security breaches in their staff/software in the past that was dealt with, refunded, and revamped in order to redeem themselves.

there arent going to be more cheating scandals on UB, it makes no sense with the kind of traffic they are getting nowadays as well as all the promotional work they are doing at live tournaments

we understand u arent going to play there and wont play there. i guarantee your opinion would change if u had a bigger br and played bigger stakes, cash or tournaments

SO

for people like me who need sites like UB why dont u stop shit talking them when they did nothing to you and have put lots of effort into redeeming themselves, all ur doin is drivin action away

OR at least give the entire story and mention all the work they've done to better their software/support/image/etc when u shit talk them

this is not accurate. UB/AP have not even released all of the requested hand histories to the players, much less paid them all what they're owed.

again, bafflingly thought process being displayed here. I guarantee you that if I had a 6 figure bankroll looking for 100/200 action, there is literally 0% chance I would choose the only network in the history of online poker to have been recorded cheating their customers at the tables.

honestly, if frinkx was a random here you'd believe he was a schill for UB. I've not seen such pathetic, apologetic arguments from a player before.
