<img align="right" src=http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/11b19.worldrecord.jpg style="margin:5px; border: 0px solid black;">And there it is again: another world record attempt. One of the many this year, and this very same record has been attempted and broken a few times this year: the one for biggest online poker tournament in history. PokerStars attempts to break the official Guinness World Record by having at least 65,000 entrants, as that was the current record set at 19th of July this year by PokerStars. With a buy-in of just $1 and no additional rake charge, it’s easy for everyone to take part in the historical event.
Things you need to know about this Guinness World Record attempt tournament: * When: Sunday, December 27 at 14:45 ET
* $300,000 guaranteed prize pool
* Just $1 buy-in (no rake!)
* Tournament is aiming to break the previous record of 65,000 players, set July 19, 2009
* Registration is now open!
* Satellites available in a range of buy ins
To find the tournament, go to the PokerStars Lobby and select ‘Tourney’ and ‘All’ or ‘Special’ and enter the word "record" in your Tourney Filter (on the bottom left). You can also go to the tournament lobby immediately by clicking "Request" -> "Find a Tournament" (or press Ctrl+T) and then entering tournamentID 234567890.
. You can also use the Tourney Filter in the Lobby to search for the tournament name. To use the filter, open the PokerStars Lobby and enter the word ’record’. The Filter will then search all tournaments and provide you with the relevant results.
In case you don't have a PokerStars account yet, you can create one for free by downloading their software and registering your account (make sure you use bonus code STARS600 to get a 100% first deposit bonus up to $600). This is your chance to be part of a Guinness World Record.
