** High Stakes Hand of the Week **

The winning HS hand is one of three sick hands posted by FrEaK[S.sIR] this week. The man stole the show, as all but one hand of this bulletin were played by him. In this one, he's playing a $3/$6 game. He starts raising with 77, villain 3bets and he calls. The flop comes 4J5 with two clubs. Villain leads and Freak calls. The turn pairs the board with another four, then villain fires a second barrel and Freak calls. The river brings a nine of clubs, which makes a flush possible. Villain makes a close to pot bet and puts Freak in a tough spot. Holding just third pair and facing a big bet on such a dangerous board, Freak makes an insane call. Villain shows 68 for the busted straight draw and our hero takes the pot.

Some people think Freak is a hero, here is why

Runner-up: The next hand shows Freak making a sick bluff in an NL600 game. He raises with QJ and gets called by his opponent. The flop comes 829 with two hearts and Freak makes a close to pot bet, which villain calls. The turn brings an ace of hearts, which makes a flush possible. Freak bets, villain raises, Freak 3bets and villain finally calls. The river is a six and Freak fires a pot-sized bet. Villain folds and what we see next is his frustration, after being tricked by our hero's awesome bluff!

Freak makes villain fold his hand with a sick bluff

** Low/Mid Stakes Hand of the Week **

This hand was also played by FrEaK[S.sIR], but this time it was in a mid stakes game. Playing NL400 and sitting with a $1753(!) stack, Freak holds AJ and raises in the button position. Villain 3bets, Freak calls, and both players see the flop of 45K rainbow. Villain fires a cbet, Freak calls. The turn is an eight and villain fires a second barrel, Freak calls again. The river pairs the board with another eight, and villain makes another big pet, worth over a buy-in. Holding just Ace-high, Freak makes a heroic call and takes a monstrous pot, as villain shows 97 for a busted straight draw.

Freak calls over three streets to win a gigantic pot

Runner-up: This hand is so nice it is hard to call it a runner-up. In a $0.50/$1 game, Night2o1 raised from the cut-off with QTs, and was faced with a 3-bet, which he called. The flop came Q3K with two spades. Villain led out for $14 and our hero called. The turn dropped a four, villain fired an overbet, and Night called again. The river paired the board with another four, then villain shoved all-in. Even though there was a king on the flop, which would help a lot of hands that could beat his, Night made a brave call and took down a 200bb pot!

Night2o1 makes three difficult calls and wins a big pot

** Tournament Performances **

Unfortunately there is no award this week, as there were no significant performances in either TP thread nor Rail Heaven forum.

Had a major DS for a variety of reasons. Having cashed out a lot recently I'm short on online cash.

I've also started doing a small stakes challenge in order to improve my discipline on several fronts. Discipline is by far my weakest area

would you happen to know how much did it cost you freak to make it to hotw by making these calls. thank you

Didn't cost me anything. I make plays like these regularly. I'm not actively trying to get into the hotw. It's just gameflow and specific read based plays. I'm correct in these plays with a very high frequency.

Now playing sessions that are too long in conditions that I shouldn't, that cost me a lot of money.

this

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

i think you're giving freak wayyy too little credit here man. Good players. esp ones who crush the stakes they are playing will have hands like this almost every session if not every session.
