The last few weeks in high stakes online poker have been absolutely unreal. Players have been playing pots of sizes previously thought to be impossible. Most people would point Swede Isildur1 as the person responsible for this big boom in high stakes games. His results and number of hands played at the highest stakes confirm it as a fact.
This week, once again, Isildur1 was the protagonist of the millionare games. Unfortunately for him, not in a positive way. After losing a couple millions to Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey, two of the very best players in the world, Isildur1 seems to have hit an insurmountable wall, as we can guess judging by his fall these past few days.
Looking at his losses in the past two weeks, including disastrous sessions against Brian Townsend and Ziigmund, Isildur1 now accounts losses of over five million dollars. His graph at PokerTableRatings, previously legendary, now curves down just like a stone into the water.

Despite this, Isildur1 continues playing and the frenetic action goes on. We don't know how long this hurricane named Isildur1 will feed the high stakes games, but we are loving each second of it.
Durrr
It's notable that online poker icon Durrr has lost a bit of his aura of invincibility after the innumerous sessions against Isildur1 from which he left as the loser. As weird as it sounds when it comes to Durrr, recent discussions were about what percentage of his bankroll went to Isildur1's pockets, and what would be the effects of that on his powerful game.
Those who were used to see Durrr play only $200/$400 and up may find it odd to see him play $50/$100 (what an absurd situation), but that's what happened. In the last two days, Durrr has played over 5k hands against a lot of different opponents, and, according to High Stakes DataBase, he obtained $526,443 in profits. Some have speculated on the possibility of Durrr going busto, but despite the big hit his bankroll took, it's unlikely that has come close to happen. |

isildur1 is just a joke, according to PTR Durrrr is still the nuts. Proof is he is ripping nl 10K to bits in just 5K hands. The kid is sik. I honnestly hope he plays isildur again and busts whats left of his roll.  |
