Mike Matusow showed the poker world that he still got it, despite lack of good results in last years. On Saturday he won 2013 World Series of Poker event #13 $5,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or-Better. For his accomplishment he pocketed $266,503 and what's definitely more important for him - his fourth gold WSOP championship bracelet.
When the heads-up started Matusow was a 3:1 underdog in the race for the championship title. However Ashton got caught off guard and Matusow managed to climb back on the chip count, then he gained chip lead soon after when his two pairs were better and no low was on table. In the final hand Matusow hit two pairs and settled victory and his fourth WSOP bracelet.
Final results:
1 Mike Matusow $266,503
2 Matthew Ashton $164,700
