On Thursday a ton of players started receiving e-mails from FullTiltPoker (that is now owned by PokerStars), asking them to start the process of verifying their accounts in order to unlock their frozen funds the moment when poker room relaunches.
So far the e-mails have been sent only to non-Americans, informing player that they need to provide a valid documentation in order to unblock their accounts for the planned re-opening of FTP in November, 2012.
The e-mails explain that the request is “in the interest of account security and in accordance with the anticipated Isle of Man regulatory requirements."
We can read further:"Providing valid documentation now will ensure that your account is fully verified and active upon relaunch. Once relaunch and system testing has completed, you will have unrestricted access to your Full Tilt Poker account, including all cashier functionality and poker games.
Non-US players looking to reclaim their beleaguered account balances or resume grinding, must give the company a copy of a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport or other government-issued document) and proof of your address on file (meaning a bank or credit card statement, utility bill, mobile or home phone bill, home or vehicle insurance papers and pay slip).
As for American players, a DOJ official declined to provide an update on the process of hiring a third-party company to take care of payouts of $159mln that are frozen and belong to USA players on Thursday.

Glad for non-US players. Still sucks as a US player.
The email was only sent out to players with balances exceeding $3500 as per article 7 of this piece of law
so if you had less than 3.5k you may or may not get any(?) requirements for now
Hi, I had there over 10k, is there anybody with such amount that didn`t get any email from FTP ? Should i write to them, and what is the proper adress if so, thanks.
uh h I don't think I got an email, but I delete my junk regularly, I suspect I may have accidentally removed it
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
I think they didn't e-mail all players yet as their security department wouldn't be able to handle all the incoming documents for verification.
Don't worry, there is still around 2 months left to take care of all stuff, and since they are under PokerStars banner right now I wouldn't worry anymore.
