julep wins our Weekly League tournament

Our poster julep took it down after defeating totusek in the heads-up and walked away with a $22 tournament ticket. 29 people showed up to play and 12 of those made it to the money.

For most of the time the final table was very tight. No player could grab a sizable lead and the chip lead changed hands several times. It all changed when p9rzemek, last week's runner-up, was eliminated in 3rd place. He and julep had the largest stacks and were pretty even when p9rzemek got sucked out. julep moved all-in with on a flop and p9rzemek called with Aces. A fell on the turn and a sealed it on the river, eliminating p9rzemek and giving the massive pot to julep.

The previous hand basically decided the outcome of the tournament, as it gave julep a gigantic lead over totusek - 37k vs 6k. As expected it didn't last long before the final hand was played. julep open shoved with and totusek called with . The board ran and julep claimed the title and the $22 first prize.

We are aware that the payment structure isn't appropriate. We are already looking into that and trying to get it fixed for the next week. In the next tournament we will probably have the prize pool separated from the tournament tickets. Thank you all for participating and we hope to see you again next week!

This. Weekly flipaments were the nuts with everyone on ventrilo in 2007

Out of curiosity, what was the buy-in in the flipaments? And were the flips forced by soft ?

The flipaments were 10+1 and the flips were forced by honor. Pretty sure that some people not from LP started to screw them over at one point by not flipping.
