Liquidpoker PCA Report (Day 1)

Well yesterday the big one started. At noon, Lee Jones did the shuffle up and deal and the WPT PokerStars Carribean Adventure kicked off. Early in the morning, I met up with FrinkX, TalentedTom, and Missot before heading to the poker room to check the action.

The poker room was packed from wall to wall with people trying to see the action. Almost every table was filled in the room with players and the sound of chips shuffling became a constant thing.

The tournament started with 20k starting stacks and blinds at 50/100. Immediately I located the goof ball RaiNKhaN as he was stuck at a fair hard table with curzdog to his immediate left.

Early in the morning RaiNKhaN had built up to 26k, I saw mig.com and he was up to 36k. PoorUser on the other hand seemed to have problems right from the get go and couldn't get anything going. Empire2000 also was having a slow and steady start to the event staying around his inital 20k early in the tournament. Right before the break after the 100/200 level mig.com entered a big 15k pot as shown in the picture below.

During the break we decided to go grab some lunch... and on the way we met up with the man of all mans. It was truely a proud moment for all of us...

After getting some lunch at a grill across the street from the Atlantis, we headed back to the poker room to check out the action. Upon arrival I met up with Bigjoe2003, as he built a big stack of 60k. I found RaiNKhaN sitting on top of 64,000 in chips! Yikes! Apparently he got a nice little rush when his TT cracked AA and AK from two short stacks and busted two players on the same hand.

I went to check on TheBruiser and found him at 15k, struggling to get something going as the blinds were now 200/400. Around this time we learned that PoorUser had busted. Empire2000 chipped up to 30k, but was still a little under average. After some time in the poker room I finally found BigBalls, as he so happened to be sitting next to one of the chip leaders in Vanessa Rousso. Bigballs was fairing nicely around this time at 35k.

I kepted walking around the poker and met up with Bigjoe2003 again right after he took a sick beat as he got all-in with AQ on a Q-9-3 flop vs 44 for a 40k pot. River 4, yuck! He was knocked down to 35k after that hand. I met up with TwistedEcho as he was on life support at the 400/800 level with only 17k. It didn't take long for him to bounce back as he doubled up with AK vs 33 to get himself back up to 40k.

The 400/800 blind level was the last level of the day, and when it was complete all the players proceeded to bag their chips. I went to go check out how Empire2000 and TheBruiser were doing (since they were at the same table) and TheBruiser had a huge comeback.

Sorry to ruin tomorrow's report but TalentedTom played in the tournament today and shoved TT vs AA. GG~ He's busto and now in the room with me right now
