why mini re raise on flop? why not raise 6? $4 in pot, villain bets 2.25...you re raise 2.25? if you raise 6, you are raising the pot.

For this hand case scenario, if the short stack bets with a "9" on flop and you reraise to $6 or stronger, it is likely he will fold. Of course, if he had KQ, he would've called. But you are trying to get as much value as possible with a hand you believe is the best. Min-raising on flop and then basically getting him all in on turn with a 3/5th pot bet is perfect. He will call here, not only with a K but also with 9 most of the time.

Of course, this leaves room for a turn or river that might mess you up, but imo, this is very very ++++EV with shortstacks.
