FeARFaCT   United States. Feb 13 2009 19:07. Posts 496 This is literally my 4th hand at the table. I'm not super happy jamming here and arguably need to fold preflop, but here was my rationale. Smaug is a super nit who folds to 3bets over 90% of the time, so I figured it was a decent spot to just put pressure on him and give up if he plays back. Everyone left to act was pretty nitty, other than Joel. I wasn't expecting him to make a play here so early on in the match I guess. When he did raise I laughed, because I knew he was just trying to push me off the pot such a high % of the time. I figured I had a ton of fold equity so I put the rest in thinking he couldn't call with most of his range here. What I didn't know is that he would stack off anyways with a hand like T5s.. Maybe he thinks it gives him some kind of metagame edge, but I don't think that matters much at 100nl. He's also never seen me shove garbage, as well as the fact that my 3bet % is still fairly low and my fold to 3bet % somewhat high. FeARFaCT.net Last edit: 14/02/2009 00:06
