why not reraise the turn to find out where you are

flat calling turn you'd basically have to call if another non club non paired board card calls on the river if he pots it

easy fold, he was the SB, people at your level don't have the guts to make an all in bluff especially to that board. 99% of time when they bet all-in, they got the nuts.

well same goes to all stake poker players. patient and passive are definitely the right way to play poker. being aggreisve is so stupid and overrated. big deals if you steal my blinds, who cares.

You pretty much lose all credibility with this cracker of a paragraph:

And you wonder why you lose so much

Pot was small and I was going for overcalls as I felt I could squeeze another bet out of the initial bettor on river anyway.

Well you had the best hand to the river, imo. His play seems pretty consistent with having a 6.

well, most people read some poker articles and books telling you should play aggresive, but ask yourself a honest question. for all those time, how many times have you really won a BIG pot by being aggresive, first of all, you need to risk ALOT of money into bluffing people out, if you get caught once, you probably need about 10more steals to make it up. it's just not profitable over the long run. you can steal and steal and steal the little pots, then run into a slow playing monster, lose all your stack.. is that fun?

every winning poker player especially in cash games, no matter what stakes they play at, are just tight players. there's absolutely no need to bluff and being aggresive. wait for your hand and get paid off big time.

bottom line, you almost alawys have to risk like 2-3x of the pot to steal something(worthwhile). i m not talking about the little amount preflop or just after flop. when someone calls your bet at the flop, now u better be willing to invest shit load of moeny to make the aggresive play and steal.
