He plays 32/20 hands . So much blockers (two fours and an ace), do I still bet and call everything he does? Or do I fold to the reraise`?

this is a terrible river card for you. now to be clear - you folded AK when you have TPTK on a board not all that different but here, with a weaker hand and a more dangerous board, you are calling.

I can see where calling the turn makes sense you have overs, however the 3 completes a few draws, and at 30/20 hes playing a lot of drawing hands. the ace on the river kind of cements a fold, to me, because it completes just about any draw he could have had, even if he was floating with high cards and he took the initiative away on the turn with his raise and followed it up on the river. seems like he felt pretty sure he had it.

after calling the turn raise the ideal river is a check / check scenario, or you can fold when he bets out. if he bet something insanely small like 25% or less of the pot it may become , but might still be a fold...depends on if he could do that with something like 56 or 57 or 66 or 77....not really much else you beat at that point, is there?

Thanks for the insight. I'm trying to be less stubborn (I still raise too much postflop with JJ/TT when there are overcards, something I'm working on mentally) but didn't want to let go since this guy played much more loosely than usual ppl. Also I was 9tabling to find a lot of hands to analyze and think about which makes mistakes and forces me to think quickly.

edit: will go back to 6table for learning sessions (to think about ranges a little bit more every hand and not just playing)

New player, advice appreciatedLast edit: 27/03/2014 23:55
