turn check confuses me way more than the seemingly sensible river fold

no he wouldnt valuejamm ligher then AQ

since my range is kinda capped to AQ, and its a very likely hand for me to have (he knows this) to call a big squeeze these positions, and with him Cbetting 3way on the flop, AQ is kinda what my hand look like.

(3way flop is important, and the squeeze)

i just dont see this villan (fairly nitty and not superretarded) randomly trying to bluff me off AT AJ or worse type hands by overbetjamming if he has a bluff, and i dont think he expect me to fold AQ

all tho its retarded to do this for value, since if he just bets normally hes getting that all in value from AQ (im jamming if he bets normal)

im not 100% HIV positive on this one, but it just smelled nutz comeing from this particular player, even tho there isnt many combos of nuts (basically AQ+ for him) JT is pretty unlikely for him, unless its JTclubs that were going for a ch/jamm, i think he would barrel turn with his other JT most of the time, he caaan have T7s and QQ too

nice bluff if he bluffed with an airball, just seemed unecessary and i dont think hes the type of guy who randomly would go for a 150bb bluffspazz with air in a small pot like this, when im gonna show up with AQ a good amount

Do you think it's ok for him to check turn with all strongest hands, given that he is going to have a really tough time check-calling AK there?

aids

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

Nice analysis although it doesn't answer:
1) Why are we checking turn ?If villain is such a nit and squeezes so infrequenty that we cannot bet aq +flush draw on the turn, then folding pre would be superior to calling.
2) Why if villain is nutted does not go for c/r on the river given that you are betting most of your ax on the river and if you are not folding your underpairs on the flop , you are probably folding them to a river bet.
The biggest problem in this hand though, is that our range on the river is capped( as you mentioned) and we are folding everything, Not claiming this opponent is good but wouldn't a good opponent overbet the river with pretty much everything putting our capped range in a really tough spot? And going backwards , if we are only betting ak+ on the turn , aq is pretty much the best hand we can have on the river. To fold this -->fold everything-->bad for us and good for villain.

you guys need a lesson in deep poker.

longple would be turning AQ into a bluff if he bet turn.

Villian is checking AK on turn a lot if he is a normal reg.

i would not 3bet such a hand as weak as AK oop in the first place tho. AA/KK only when im feeling like a lagtard.

Poker at its finest. Longple wanted to trick exb that he really didnt have it and only way to prove it was to fold the nuts

I get that betting turn is a probably a mistake, but if this specific villain had bet river a normal size and longple shoved over it with his top two is he really expecting to get called by AK?

new shit has come to light... a-and... shit! man...
