Okay. Math question for ya. Not sure if you can figure it out
We have bingo. Two ways to win per session.
1. Straight bingo (normal bingo)
2. Blackout (Mark all spots on the card)
We also have a lucky ball
To win the lucky ball we announce a random ball before the session starts. B3 is your lucky ball for the session. Please don't mark it at this time. Then you must bingo on that specific ball, B3 (For this imaginary session)
My question would be do you know what the odds would be to hit the lucky ball.
Then what are the odds to hit it in back to back sessions ( like what just happened today)
75 bingo numbers
2 chances per session to hit( straight and blackout)
But they have to bingo on that specific number for the lucky ball to go out
We averaged 140 bingo cards sold per session
Is that enough information to figure it out?

believe we need to know where B3 is located on ur sheet to begin since if it is in the middle of the sheet there will be 4 ways to bingo via it, if it's in a corner there are three, anywhere else and there r only 2 ways. |

We need to know how many people are playing, since someone can shout bingo and end the game before we hit, and that is dependent on the number of competitors. After that it looks like a very challenging piece of long messy probability in my initial estimation - I wouldn't like to give it a go.
edit, oh you said 140, sorry. Still looks pretty tough. Also, Palak we can still do the calculation by assuming it's in a random position. |

I hope this is for class and you're not actually playing bingo with people old enough to talk about times during slavery |

B3 is located in the B row
This isn't for class. Bingo is part of my job. yah it seems like too many variables and too complicated to figure out something so dumb.
Mainly I was interested how to do the math on a problem like this more so than the actual answer
