Software
Cake Poker’s software is simple, clean, and easy to use. Users should have no problem finding their way around the interface.
Games are sorted in tabs and filters are available including stakes, average pot, players, etc. which is pretty consistent across all poker software.
Audio is adequate as the only sounds you’ll hear are the sound of chips moving and beeps for timing decisions. There is no in-voice audio and the dealer is silent. To some this may be a good thing so that they aren’t distracted, but for some, they may want the full casino experience, as to which Cake Poker does not provide.
Players are able to choose between a whole host of pre-defined avatars. Want to be a beautiful woman? A wealthy businessman? How about a retired granny? You can choose from these pre-defined avatars to disguise your identity.
Standard across all online poker sites, Cake Poker includes a chat window where you may chat with other players as well as view in game actions. On that same window are info, stats, and notes tabs. The info tab shows table percentages as well as a link to hand history and a gold chip meter. Stats are individual stats on players. Notes are where you can take notes on players. You can apply a label to them such as tight, easy money, hot player etc. and you can write notes about them.

Cake Poker has some great in-game buttons. What makes them great is that they have ½ pot and pot buttons to bet those size amounts, so you don’t have to calculate the math in your head! You can even enter a value in the tiny window as your bet size.
Cake Poker is multi-table friendly, as multi-tablers are able to play as many tables as they wish. Multi-tabling runs smoothly.
Hand histories are stored both on players’ local hard drive and on the software itself graphically. This is great that Cake Poker offers both options as they can choose between text or graphic format.

Game Selection
Cake Poker offers the typical line-up of poker game modes such as Texas Hold′em with No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit. Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo are available as well.

Competition
New poker rooms often attract the loose players and Cake Poker is no exception. Expect to see soft competition with player seeing the flop as high as 60%.

Traffic
Traffic is pretty decent at Cake Poker, especially at NL ring games and tournaments. Late night hours tend to be the worst for any game not named NL and you will mostly see regulars.

Support
Cake Poker offers lightning fast support. However, this is only available through email, as they do not support phone calls. Customer support is always helpful and polite nonetheless. Perhaps the absence of phone calls has made up for the quick email support.

Bonus/Rakeback
Cake Poker offers one of the highest bonuses at 100% for a maximum of $600. The bonus can be cleared by playing a set amount of hands.
Cake Poker follows the no flop no drop policy, as rake is only taken on hands that see the flop.
