i dont really buy the story that he was a pedophile from a few years back. sounded more like his family was shady and trying to take advantage of him or something.
but he wasnt exactly the most straight up guy ever. def one of the cheating old texas gamblers. either way the guy is a legend of a gambler and one of the handful to win the main event. RIP

That sucks... I loved his book "Amarillo Slim in a World Full of Fat People" it is very entertaining (even though his ethics are questionable at times)! I was lucky enough to get to play some 2/5 with him back in 2005 at the Cherokee Casino in Oklahoma. He was always very friendly the few times I spoke with him.
