god, i hated so many of the people on TL. i totally agree with you most mods pissed me the fuck off. LP is much better, i've seen a few idiots but not NEARLY as many as there is on TL lol

It used to be that if you were a long time poster as long as you posted something good for the community you had a lot of leeway. Now they're strictly going after veterans because suppodely its their duty to set high standards of posting, while not enforcing their own forum policies on new posters. When was the last time you saw an SC2 balance discussion with 7 platinum reps in it? Never? Right.
And moderating blog is a sign of complete retardation.

Gotta remember the big difference between a site focusing on poker as of that focusing on a video game: People are, generally but not always, much more immature on TL.net than on liquidpoker as one is just a video game and one is played with real money, which cancels out most kids under the age of 18.

Teamliquid has had to become a lot more strict lately with the influx of all the new SC2 players and traffic coming with the beta. TL does a lot with blizzard as well, and blizzard views them as a community that is respected and qualified enough to take advice from and allow special privileges to the representatives of the website

I would much rather prefer TL as the way it is than a site like 4chan or world of warcraft forum. People are respectful, topics arent completely derailed, trolls are dealt with, etc etc. The community is very strong, and the site hopes to grow professionally. They may be a little strict with their guidelines in a few areas, but I personally believe it is for the best interest of the website and the community

you dont get it. moderation is awesome in tlnet, but frequently steps over the line. people get banned for making funny jokes, people get banned for posting images, people get banned for making blogs or comments someone doesnt agree with, people get banned for typing in capital letters in fucking hype or live tourney threads, people get banned for making silly jokes, people get banned for typing in unconventional styles, people get banned for swearing, people get banned for being passionate ,people get banned for not fitting in, people get banned for whatever a mod disagrees with on a whim, and people often get banned for simple misunderstandings. the mods on tlnet are such insane elitists i know for a fact people are SCARED SHITLESS to join in many discussions. tlnet as a result has lost soooooooooooo much personality.

have you ever been on a forum where silly jokes, ,swearing, controversial opinions, etc are banned? its pretty fucking bland.

Cause heretofore all I see is you making shit up, getting super angry, posting in all caps, acting indignant, and generally showing yourself to be an asshat. TL.net is certainly different from when I joined 5 years ago, but to say the moderation there is horrible is absolutely absurd. It is one of the most well moderated sites in existence on the internet, and I can't find a single mod there that does not take their job seriously and do their best to make sure every person who gets a ban deserved it. What your post count was matters very little, and it certainly does not prove you are awesome. You're not awesome, your posts suck, you're a flamboyant pedophile, and those things, among others, are why you got banned. Deal with it. I imagine its only a matter of time before the mods here get tired of you as well.

That post would not have been deleted on TL.net. How do I know that? Well, in my 5 years of posting there, I haven't once felt the need to hold back on things like that, and not once have I been banned or even warned. Its kinda funny, when you contribute stuff to the community and actually do good stuff, instead of just posting shitty threads and shitting up good ones, people actually like having you around. But thats probably too much for you to grasp; you can return to hanging out with stimey and tdot now.
