Just wondering if anyone has been able to get access to play on pokerstars using VPNs post-DOJ. I heard right after it happened stars and tilt apparently stated they would be cracking down on them but im curious to see how true that is. Any info on VPNs would be helpful :o |

I wouldnt gamble.. Stars rep told me that if they caught the person they would ban the account and confiscate the monies.. Not sure if its a scare tactic or not, but def wouldnt chance it. |

Stars usually lets u slide breaking TOS stuff but if anything you do now jeopardizes their arrangement with the DOJ which can cost up to the billions I'm pretty sure they'd be happy to make your account an example of their goodwill towards the DOJ and snap close your account. Personally I wouldn't risk it especially if you have a lot to lose by getting banned. |

To move to Canada, you must do the following;
1. A clear copy of your driver's license, or any other valid government issued picture ID.
2. A clear copy of a recent utility bill clearly showing your full name, address in the non-US country of residence and statement date (no older than 3 months).
3. A clear copy of a non-US (non-US territories) bank account statement showing your full name, statement date and current address outside the US (and/or US territories).
4. Your landline phone number in your new country of residence, should we need to contact you. |

| Can I play at Full Tilt Poker through a VPN or similar workaround?
No. Players caught doing so are subject to having their account closed and funds forfeited.

send them a scan of your US passport or US driver's license
go to royal bank of canada, open a bank account, ask them for a statement with your name and address on it, and preferably their stamp of approval
it was confirmed on 2+2 that you can use your landline bill as a utility bill, plus they need to call you on your landline at your new residence to speak to you directly(they ask you some questions, some may be account specific)
and that's about it, just need to pass border patrol. make sure you don't look like you're moving your entire life there, it would look suspicious, unless your story adds up.
you can say you're there to visit a gf or visit some friends, but it would suck if you plan to stay there long term and you get stamped for x amount of days.
would also suck if they ask you for exact locations and stuff, but they probably wouldn't considering a shit ton of people just go in and out of border patrol on a daily basis, but you never know, it could happen.
and you can tell them the truth about online poker, and either 1 of 2 things will happen:
1. the border patrol guy won't really care and lets you go
2. you might get sent to immigration offices for questioning.
when passing the border it's best to keep documentation on you to prove you have ties to the US(bank statement showing a large amount of funds, tax return, etc)
i was going to relocate to canada originally, so i did a ton of research, but then relocated to taiwan instead. |

Why Taiwan you ask? Taiwan is the best fucking place ! ;-)
when i was 19 i taught english there for a year, never had more fun in my life than in taiwan, hands down.
The girls are amazing, the nightlife is sick good, the food is amazing and the people are all v cool and friendly. Also, a very safe country.
Out of everywhere I've been, its where I'd choose to live the remainder of my life :-) but I was 19 then, idk how i'd feel about it nowaday at 26. |

idk, my parents kept saying it would be good for me to live here cause they have an apartment here.
but honestly, i dont live in a big city like taipei, it's pretty inconvenient for me to get around
the supermarkets arent like the US, bus in my area doesn't run from like 10 am to 4 pm, and doesnt run late nights, dont have a car/scooter.
it sucks right now, so in the end i may just move to canada anyway |

wait, you are now allowed to play on PS/FTP from USA if your account is from Non-USA? I thought they were clearly stating you cannot play PS when you visit USA |

Pretty sure you can not play in the usa even if you are not a citizen here. I know several euros who are here for wsop and they can't play online. |
