Do you think i can get away with an overbet here on the river, if not what would your betsize be ? I think i have a leak here that i dont punish the fish enough, usually i bet 2/3-3/4 he snaps and i wonder how much more he would have called if he snaps a 3/4 bet so fast.

3/4 sounds good

It is definitely a classic spot for an overbet, but the problem I find is that the chance of losing the value of a guaranteed snapcall if you go 4/5 pot is just too painful to me. I'd prefer to bank the call with a normal big bet in this spot. If, just for illustration, he calls a 4/5 pot bet 100% of the time then you need him to call a 1.5x pot at least 70% of the time for it to be better, which is just too high for me - I prefer to bank the call rather than get greedy in this particular spot.

people should start posting more hands vs good/strong opponents and not vs fishes, it's retarded to discuss strategy vs a fish, it's a 1 liner response at best. Posting hands vs tough opposition would open minds a lot more.

thats a really bad way to think about it imo.

As stroggoz said most people dont know how to play optimal against fish.

Lets say against this fish my edge ist 12BB/100, if i get into a similar spot, i would go 2 bb bigger on the flop, pot is bigger on the turn i can go a couple of bb more on the turn and some more on the river thats like 14 BB !!!! more profit right there.

And most people just 3/4 it all the way and dont even think about it afterwards.

All in all i think instead of working hours and hours on your game vs regs to find that 0.5ptbb/100 extra edge vs tough opponents which usually comes with a lot of variance you can take a couple of minutes here in there to find ways how you can improve your play vs fish.

body - you play like 10x more hands vs regs then fish, increasing your edge by any amount will multiply significantly in the long run

pretty much all wrong for many reasons,

also, any good/strong thinking player, knows how to play vs fishs, you are mostly talking about bad robotic regs who nobody gives a fuck about and who probably don't post on forums.

your thought process for the hand you explain is correct, but talking about it on a forum in 2011 is about 4 years too late, at least, if people here haven't understood that by now, they are already dead

you need some kind of thought process beyond "overbet because he is a fish" , personally it looks like a pretty bad spot to overbet.
