Maynard: work ethic is extremely important imo. Not all of us have the talent that a lot of the high stakes crusher/ballas have. So we gotta work our way up. And that's through long hrs, working on the game, and all that other shit that undisciplined people hate doing.
But ya emotional control/tilt control is prob top 3 as well. I would probably rank as follows.
#1 tilt/emotional control
#2 work ethic
#3 bankroll management
the rest is fairly trivial imo. IF you have those 3 traits with half a brain anyone could be pretty successful at poker (and i mean successful at at least pulling in 6 figure years).
This mindset and approach is what finally got me out of my rut of being a broke loser into someone on the way up. Took a lot of soul searching for sure tho. |
