durrr challenge is a huge joke so far

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

why did they not continue it with PA by the way ?
PA should've spend a fair amount of time in the US last couple of months and durrr also went to Europe for tv cash games so they were in the same timezone with loads of time to play

I mean why begin something if you r not gonna pull through the end of it ?!

it has been so long and so few hands left, im "guessing" maybe Parick decided to pay off early in exchange that he wouldnt get the bad publicity of being defeated?, just wild random expeculation by me obv.

Seems like way worse publicity for FTP to allow two of their best/most popular pros to abandon the challenge after all the hype theres been about it.

Its not like its shameful to be defeated by durrrr HU.

I feel bad for jungleman though, hes not a sponsored pro and hes crushing but it looks like he will never get the props of finishing/winning the challenge.

guys the PA vs durrr chalange is over long ago, PA personally said it on some interview that i cant recal atm.
EDIT: PA just paid to durrr 500k, because he thought he doesn't have a chance with so few hands remaining.

Seat 5: patatino showed [Qd 2d] and won ($609,730) with a pair of TwosLast edit: 08/03/2011 22:05

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

Jungleman added another 300k to his winnings from this session =( He also ran hot like the sun, chopping 99 vs 53 all in on turn J52 3 board running it twice, and winning 65 vs 75 3bet pot on 554 6

On Stars, we have Isildur taking on everybody and showing them what's up. Even better now that DN's like, "no, fuck that, round 2, let's go". Whereas in FTP, we have this durrrr challenge where he dodges the shit out of people for months on end.

I suspect that in the future, it's not going to be surprising at all to see the sites hosts these big games. Much like a boxing match. I think up until now, players were motivated by themselves to challenge others for highstakes action, but maybe that's not the case anymore. It just doesn't seem like what it used to be.

So maybe the sites will start sponsoring the fights. As Stars have been doing it so far with Isildur.
