I agree with what you agree with.

No one likes an AI shove pre flop, yet this player is kissing away a buy in no matter what hits and wants to bet/call rather than c/c post flop. He's giving incredible implied odds to play any pair, SC or suited one gappers against him. If he's going to play for a buy in no matter what he may as well play for it pre flop. Against an UTG raiser he should have a very decent chance of a call even at stars, even full ring as long as both are unknown to each other.
