Right now, I don't although I'm planning on restarting once my class load dies down (in another week).

I started playing for fun, then when I started winning alot (by standards of someone who'd never had job), I played for money for a while. Then I started losing, got a job tutoring and realized I'm only ever going to play for fun again.

Poker is just like a video game that you play for fun.

Right now the only reason is for money as I'm experiencing very low determination and will to play atm. 700 hands in all of July and I probably won't play more than 1000 this month. Dunno what has happened though, I've never been this uninterested before, bound to happen after playing so many years -_- It's a job now, it's not 2006 anymore, I'm sure others feel the same.

Summer slump. I have the same problem . Only 25k hands this month so far.

everybody plays less hands during summer... or almost everybody

^winter here, but also playing less hands :S.

In the future the only work needed will be strategical thought process because robots will do all of our other work. i play to prepare myself for when i am awakened in the future from my cryogenic freeze.

Tables are also worse in summer. Joe blow isn't gonna go home and play on the computer when its nice outside. So its not like you're really missing out on all that much.

games on pc aswell , not as fun as sc or d2 used to be several years ago.some dota and some wow but still they suck.
poker seems the most funny/competitive pc game ^^
plus some $$ are nice

being able to travel to any place whenever I want
not having to depend on anybody but myself
being able to wake up whenever the fuck I want
