If I were isildur, I'd never play PLO. In fact, I'd publicly admit to not knowing how to play the game. Instead, I would use my high profile to publicly and repeatedly call all other high stakes player pussies for refusing to play me in NLHE. I'd go to all the live events and call them all out on camera. I'd wear a T-shirt at said events that would have pictures of high stakes players on it arranged in a pyramid, and a picture of myself standing on its pinnacle. I'd be louder than Helmuth about being Number One and create such drama and publicity for myself that other players would have public pressure on them to play me either on televised shows, in live rooms, or online. That way I would be able to get the action I want instead of repeatedly getting strung along by people forcing me to play PLO cuz I'm a degen.

Well if you look at it from his point of view, hes good enough at poker to never really have to worry about money. Like going bust doesn't mean much to him other than he has to grind low limits again. So maybe he just wants to get better at PLO to extreme that he is at holdem.

He got good in NLHE HU by playing all the best players that wanted to give him action. Why is this a bad idea for PLO HU if it worked out for him in NL HU ?

He beated everyone at PLO HU at ipoker/B2B, i dunno. He lost 20 buyins at 100-200 on ipoker vs best reg there at first shot too, but yeah i get ur point

Maybe Townsends notes on him is so sick that its hard for him to copy his ipoker/b2b performance at PLO
