there's a pretty large pool of live players, what does it matter if one person knows that i know about position advantage? i doubt he'll care to tell anyone about it |
Because some people cant hold their tongue.
Its not a problem if he knows, its a problem if he says "Hey youre only moving because you want position on Player X!" and PlayerX decides to leave because he doesnt like the feeling of being targetted/the fish etc.
|
which is why no intellegent person would ever say something like that because they dont want the fish to leave either |

I think it's kinda duchebaggy.
When I sit at a table I try to take the best possible seat unless I'm the 2nd person to sit down in which case I'll sit to the right of nitty/bad regs, left of lagtards and on the other side of the table from people who seems like good persons (not as in good pokerplayers, but people I try to treat with respect) |

Why are you a scumbag?
Are you a scumbag when you choose tables with fish on them? |

because others regs arent dumbass who do it too
imagine what would happen if everyone was doing that
i think its dumb to do.. when you join the table..you take the seat you want and you keep it
doing that just give a slap in the face to others regs and show how of a douche you are

What exactly would happen online?
And how is it not the same principle as choosing tables (either by VP/IP, or by leaving reg only tables when you are e.g. taking a shot), isolating fish, and sitting to the left of weak players when you first sit down, just somewhat more obvious?
And I read about changing seats is completely standard live, where when a player to the left of the fish leaves all regs move one seat to the right. I am not sure how that works but there always be some untold rule of the closer player having the right to move? |

everyone could do it... imagine what would happen if everyone leave the table to rejoin at the left of the fish
dont you see how retarded it is
the reason why not much people do it its because its bad manner and disrecpectfull
if the only way you can win from a fish is by sitting at his left then stop playing poker

I mean yeah, they can do it and risk losing the table with fish on it.. So nothing really.
It might be true at high stakes, but nothing would happen at low and midstakes at Stars where mutlitabling is so widespread.
And its not about being only able to win... like all decisions in poker its about +ev decisions |

if you move 1 time during your 6-8+ hour session or w/e its fine. but don't do it everytime a new fish shows up.. just dumb, and then it puts a target on you from the reg now sitting to your left |

one time i got up from the right of a fish to sit on his direct left, and he called me out on it LOL.
he was like a huge one playing like 50%+ of his hands, he left after a couple more hands. |
