From what I heard at the live tourney I was playing today, the guys who robbed it used knives. Not sure if that's true, but if it is, it's pretty hilarious.

from the news i read on bulgarian sites they had guns & granades and a guy said there was a bomb planted in the building however knowing bulgarian news sites i wouldnt be surprised if they were bare handed & naked ...

the tournaments are being played at the grand hyatt hotel which is just next to the casino (same deal with ept london where the cashgames were played at the vic casino and the tournament was at the hilton metropole hotel just up the road). The high roller tournament was today and the buyins were collected behind a desk in the hotel and not yet transferred to some sort of safe (they hit just when the late registration period was about to close)

wow thats crazy shit - last year in monte carlo someone did like some weird joke after getting permission from the tournament director - hard to explain but he had a mask on and got everyones attention very loudly pretending he was going to assault someone i think, saying like 'online poker isn't a joke anymore' etc, but it was all a joke lol
