i know i complain about every episode but seriously although lots of stuff happened, tonights episode had some of the absolute worst worst worst tv writing ever in terms of the way the characters died, jacob's "explanation," name dropping electromagnetism resistance, and of course the shitty dialogue.

I'm guessing the electromagnetism resistance simply means Desmond can travel through time so that he can warn all the candidates from killing each other. He's already doing that so I don't really see how any of the crap about time traveling makes any difference or serves any purpose.

was kinda high while watching so I don't really remember what happened. It was a better episode than the beginning of the season and far from being one of the best. Just a mediocre one. I was excited for the campfire chat with jacob but it was lackluster.

Widmore being killed was weird, though I like how ben got his revenge.

The timeline seemed fucked up too - it's been like what, 2-3 days since richard/ben/miles left jack/hurley, but they've only JUST arrived at the barracks now? I thought it was giving us a the backstory of what miles/ben/richard had been up to. Maybe I was just too high.

So we still aren't clear on the smoke monster... is it:

1) Jacob's twin brother was alive when he floated into the light cave and he died in there and the monster was released, and somehow his dead body ended up in the rocks somewhere.

2) Jacob's twin brother was alive when he floated into the light cave and his soul became the smoke monster and his dead body ended up on rocks somewhere.

seeing how he always refers to his past and not the smoke monsters past (i had a crazy mother, it helps me remember i used to be human, etc) i think its safe to assume hes the same person but has become smokey

Uhm, yes he could. That's why mother went crazy and destroyed everything...

edit: also since someone quoted it. Did anyone actually see her do that stuff? Cuz I read some of that shit before I watched it and I couldn't stop laughing at the morons who actually cared about that. Maybe she ordered her pet robotdinosaurdragoncyborg to destroy them.

the point is people want to know how it happened. its annoying that they dont explain stuff and everything is really rushed at the end. there have been some absolutely amazing episodes in this season as well as some necessary filler stuff which was less than enjoyable. however the past 2 episodes should have been 4 or 5 episodes worth of stuff and it was stuffed into 80 minutes which really pisses us off. it seems like there isnt enough time to finish everything up, the final season definitely should have been about 5 episodes longer, but oh well, hopefully the finale is amazing

I know it doesnt make sense because we're being told the light is ON and its being protected by jacob etc and that the smokemonster cant find it but iirc when jacob was turned into a guardian he was taken to see the light but when jack was turned he wasn't shown a thing he was just given some directions. His face looked a little different -- doesn't necessarily mean he feels like he's a guardian. It was probably just an essential part of the story a few eps back to show us the light they're talking about and to setup his brother being thrown into it and now possibly the reason they're not showing us the light directly before the final 2 episodes is because there is no light??

Confused, JAcob isn't always protecting the light. What if some squirrel wanderd in there, would he be a small black puff monster. Or a bird or some random animal, or light only works on Humans?

Does Jack get any spells or special abilities now that Jacob gave him superwater ? I'm feeling he just get some sphinx "I feel a lot of stuff" powers and can live for a long time, +3 wisdom crap.

And that thing about, they were all alone, and lost, and didn't have anyone. Jin and Sun were a couple? How come he picked them if he was suppose to just pick people who felt they didn't fit in and all that emo stuff!!

Just a show, so I guess it's kind of cool if it doesn't have to make sense, or they just trying to cover up, leak, make up stuff, then scream with excitement when some bricks hit, they feel they on to something and they just go with it, even though it's lol.
