hes prob the 20th best hu plo player in the world who only gets action from the top 15 guys.

everyone turns him down nl action cause they know he just wants to play and will give in and play plo. the only person who has played him in nl recently was ivey and that was because he was playing durrrr 4 tables and patrik 2 tables as well so phil definitely had an edge.

if isildur were smart he would just rebuild at 25/50 and 50/100 hu for now, he would def get action from durrrr that low and from random fish and people willing to take a shot like jungleman

sometimes i'm really disappointed with the top players at FTP not wanting to play isil, it's the smartest thing to do ofc but imo they're no different from the bumhunters who sit all day at midstakes hu who get berated here at lp. games at NL highstakes are dead because of this now

Isil is prob. hands down the best NLHE HU player ever. which is really sick since he popped out of nowhere.

considering his NLHE game is so good, i would be very hesitant to say that his PLO skills aren't top class either. It's just that he's been on tilt more often since his run in with BH, and so he's prob. -EV right now. Overall though, isil is a god. *nods*

Well it could be that he doesn't care about getting it back through a rule that should never have been in their T&C to begin with.

Yes it's unfair and the rule makes some sense especially for high stakes, but its unenforceable and unenforceable rules should never be implemented. They hurt people with good intentions and make things easier for people with bad intentions. Discussing hands seems a part of online poker. Though I don't think looking at a 60k database of one person to find patterns and nail him for 4m falls in the same category as what we do here.

That said though the rule exists and Hastings just had the biggest winning day ever in poker won through admitted violation of the T&C of FTP. It would actually be very weird if FTP didn't do anything because they should either admit their T&C contains mistakes meaning we can all do whatever we want, or do something about it. I don't think FTP can look bad by taking the 4m pointing at the admission and giving it to Isildur, they can however look bad (in a lot of peoples eyes) by not doing anything about it. As a company it wouldn't make sense not to do anything.

how can you say he's the toughest HU NL player in the world? he's played, what, maybe 5K hands max against any opponent during his rise to fame? It seems like as soon as they realized he was good they immediately stopped playing him completely. And these are guys who have no problem going on TV and being billed as "one of the greatest poker players in the world". They are making so much money from endorsements, they are just scared that if some unknown online player thrashes them it will ruin their fame.
