Well obviously Isildur plays for Ego and for fun, why would you guys berate him that he makes -ev game choice decisions when his goals clearly aren't to play +ev, but to boost his ego and 'win' at poker?

I'd say the argument is not stupid, the fact that FTP has such an non-enforceable and stupid Terms of Use is stupid. isil should sue FTP and get the money back in case they don't enforce their own rules.

Well it could be that he doesn't care about getting it back through a rule that should never have been in their T&C to begin with.

Yes it's unfair and the rule makes some sense especially for high stakes, but its unenforceable and unenforceable rules should never be implemented. They hurt people with good intentions and make things easier for people with bad intentions. Discussing hands seems a part of online poker. Though I don't think looking at a 60k database of one person to find patterns and nail him for 4m falls in the same category as what we do here.

That said though the rule exists and Hastings just had the biggest winning day ever in poker won through admitted violation of the T&C of FTP. It would actually be very weird if FTP didn't do anything because they should either admit their T&C contains mistakes meaning we can all do whatever we want, or do something about it. I don't think FTP can look bad by taking the 4m pointing at the admission and giving it to Isildur, they can however look bad (in a lot of peoples eyes) by not doing anything about it. As a company it wouldn't make sense not to do anything.
