Turbo is pushing air into the engine not fuel. Turbo actually increases fuel efficiency.

roflwtf facepalm...... the air/fuel mixture is supposed to be a fixed ratio for best combustion so when the turbo spools up and the engine's running on boost the ecu senses this and pumps more fuel in to keep the air/fuel mixture ratio constant (so you burn more fuel when theres more air going in!). |

Exactly, so the turbo puts air in the engine. Thats what the TURBO does. And it is much more efficient way of gaining power than adding more cylinders. |
