Turbo is pushing air into the engine not fuel. Turbo actually increases fuel efficiency.

roflwtf facepalm...... the air/fuel mixture is supposed to be a fixed ratio for best combustion so when the turbo spools up and the engine's running on boost the ecu senses this and pumps more fuel in to keep the air/fuel mixture ratio constant (so you burn more fuel when theres more air going in!).

Exactly, so the turbo puts air in the engine. Thats what the TURBO does. And it is much more efficient way of gaining power than adding more cylinders.

A small leak will sink a great ship.

oh thats what you meant.. from your post before it sounded like you were trying to claim turbos increase fuel efficiency over similar cylinder n/a engines because you can use the same amount of fuel but with more air to produce more power for the same amt of fuel increasing fuel efficiency, which is ofcourse ridiculous
