if we can physically see he has JJ this isn't a close descion

5-bet folding was my first thought, but after more thinking it's a preety bad option in a 6-max game where people shoving ranges are not KK+, would work much better if this was full ring or villians were known nits, folding would be a preety big mistake if we are unsure of their shoving range.
It's super close either way, this is probably one of those spots where what you do dosn't matter that much in terms of EV, it just comes down to what metagame you want to establish / what varience you are comfortable with

this spot is not a spot you should be asking about in a forum. calling, 5bet/folding, 5bet/calling, folding are all viable options "depending".

if u feel u have to fold then there are probably good reasons for that feeling and you should fold

yeah you can do anything you want here really, but if you feel that your not making money continuing in the hand, then trust yourself and fold it cause you are prob correct

Just wanted to say that I got inspired by tomson in this topic and managed to win a pot of 4444 € vs a known LPer at 3/6 thanks to it. Thank you.

I and him was deep as hell, some reg was 100bb deep. I raise 99 UTG, reg 3bets from CO or button, I decide that he's a monkey and I want to get it in and the LPer cold4bet to like 150 or something from blinds. I decided it was time to bluff the LPer and get it in with dead money vs monkey so I 4bet to like 450 or something. Regmonkey folds, LPer called and flop comes T9x with two clubs. I cbet like 2/5 pot or so and get shoved on decently fast, obviously snap and holds against AcKc.

Me + LPer has a decent bit of history. Mostly me running hot as hell vs him and winning stuff. He's probably a better pokerplayer though so I try to not get TOO fancy against him too often. Figured that this was a pretty straight forward way to play it since he will never ever bluffshove like +300bb deep and if he just calls I can try to get a showdown and/or own him with position.

Don't think it was really good or anything and I need to do some math on it before I decide if it was a variance fest or just plain bad but it was a fun enough pot.

Also a fairly random connection to this topic, but it was in the back of my head.
