the only thing that makesm e nervous about alll this is the implications its going to have as far as anti-semitism and anti-arab sentiment.
i live in an area that is basically 40% jewish, 40% arab, 20% other, and it's already a little tense. when things like this are big in the news you can cut the tension with a knife.
when you're in the other category like myself, sometimes i feel certain friends pressure me to "choose" a side on the issue lest i be anti-whatever. it's pretty awkward actually.

Before Israel existed the land was controlled by the British and before them the Ottomans; the West Bank was part of Jordan and the Gaza Strip, Egypt. Oh and by the way, if Israel is wrong for building a wall to separate their territory from Gaza then what is Egypt? Do you know the original UN plan establishing the state of Israel actually called for the establishment of a Palestinian state as well but Yassir Arafat refused it? I mean this is even in the Wikipedia article that was linked earlier, so are you guys choosing to ignore the facts? VanDerMeyde wants to talk about Israel ignoring UN resolutions but in post #39 implies that the Jews don't have a right to the land. Would I then be correct in inferring that you support UN dictates when they align with your personal beliefs only?

Israel is far from perfect and has made some pretty bad decisions in the past, but they have both better motivations and more restraint than their opponents. What really makes me sick is the cynical way that other Arab governments and a lot of the Palestinian leaders themselves exploit the suffering of the innocent civilian Palestinians just to get back at Israel.
today there was a big protest on about the Israeli bullshit in my city, im amazed so many people have this information since the media is obv "bombarding" the audience with pro israeli crap
