Gaza Strip - Page 4

Being someone with a Jewish background (although I don't believe in any of it), I've recently started to feel very uncomfortable around any of these discussions. it's like every time I log on facebook I see some of my Jewish friends have joined "support Israel" group and some other friends joined the "stop Israel from murdering innocent children" group. It drives me mental. There seems to be rising anti Semitism, particularly in England and it makes me feel ashamed and scared to share my roots with people I don't know due to the way Israel is being portrayed as ruthless overreacting tyrants by the UK media.

I'm very ignorant when it comes to politics and history so have tried to do some research into the situation to form an unbiased opinion. I can only conclude that JEWS RAPE!

As I see it, Israel couldn't keep taking continual assault without retaliation, but due to the dogged determination of the radical beliefs of Hamas, there can't be a peaceful conclusion.

The Jews hate the arabs much more then the arabs hate jews(As per Jewish hatred is pretty much spread across nation while arab hatred is concentrated only in terrorist cells). I wouldnt be suprised if theyre sending the rockets in blind, but even if they dont, trust me, theyre least concerned for civilian lives.

Perhaps not but the Hamas(etc.) and the Israelis are both at fault. The civilians, the ones who die by hundreds are the ones that have to suffer for no reason at all.

Sorry if my english sux, but at least you get the points:

If Israel really is interested in peace, why dont they do whats obvious and what UN time after time after time says they MUST do:

- Go back to its original borders from before 1967
- Stop placing own settlers on land they dont own, this is a warcrime
- Stop the illegal occupation
- Stop the inhuman blokkade on palestinian areas which lead to extremly poor conditions in the palestinian areas
- Tear down the wall that they have builded FAR outside the original borders they were given
- Work for 2 state solution with the palestines
- Stop working against all UN-directives given
- Negotiate international guarantees for their people

There is NOTHING ANTI-ISRAEL AT ALL about these UN directives given, and its the only thing that really can give civilian israelies and civilian palestines peace.
If Israels strategy to enter one of the most populated areas in the world with their heavy war marchine was a successfull strategy, this war would have been over A LONG, LONG TIME AGO.

Israel was just too fcking greedy. Imo they really abused the holocaust to achieve their zionist goals. While I agree they have the right to have an independent state, they just crossed the line decades ago when they started breaking agreements and driving the palestinian ppl into the overpopulated ghetto's of ghaza and the west bank. What did they think? that palestinians wudn't react? Hell if somebody took over your homeland based on the fact that some wacko(moses) gave it to them a few millenia ago, wudn't u be pissed off? Of course It's understandable that Israelis r pissed at getting rockets in their streets every week but this military operation won't solve anything in the long term except create more fundamentalists on both sides. The only solution is improving the life quality of the palestinian people which means lifting the embargo and giving their economy a chance to grow, giving back some of the illegally taken land to palestinians in turn for Palestinian recognition of the Israeli State but unfortunately this probly won't happen before WWIII

As for the rest, I guess my English is shitty or something but I couldn't really follow. Who are concerned about human life? If you mean Israel so fair enough, even though they seem a bit less picky then some other countries, but if you meant Hamas it's just lol. People who care doesn't use children as shields. In fact, I feel that any man who hides behind women or children are at best some kind of sub-human without any rights, moral or meaning what so ever.

Also I think you can't think one sided here as many people do. Both sides obviously are to blame for this conflict, and no one of them is "right". The palestinian terrorists, that bomb Israeli buildings and kill innocent people are JUST as bad as the Israeli army who kills innocent palestinians, children and so on.
I do think the conflict is a bit unfair though, because on one side you have Israel, with one of the most modern army in the world, and on the other side you have the palestinians, who are poorly armed. And the most important thing is, that Israel as a STATE is killing many innocent people, they often act like terrorist themself, but the palestinian terrorists are not supported by their government.

Also people like capaneo saying that it is the own fault of the the palestinian people who stay there if they get killed, is just ridicolous. Why should they move in the first place? There are certain things as pride or they simply don't want to leave their HOMECOUNTRY, and I can certainly understand this, even though I would maybe try to leave if I would live there.

Well what I basically wanted to say is : Don't be onesided and narrowminded, people. Things are obviously more complex than most of you are trying to make it. Both sides consist of "guilty" people (hamas, israely army) and "innocent" people are between there on both sides and getting pulled into this conflict.(Innocent Isrealy citizens being victims of terrorist attacks, and innocent Palestinian citizens getting killed by the Isrealy army.)

I don't think any of this is right. Both sides have their reasons to be fighting but civilian casualties are always something that I hate seeing. The people are the real losers. Both Jews and Palestinians. It's really sad...

No the other muslim nations will not attack Israel, maybe Iran, but most muslim nations support the palestines only by words, when it comes to action they will not help them and will not even let them in to their own countries
