so.. no other information at all?

looks like a standard fold what the hell do you beat except a stone cold bluff

i think flatting turn is pretty standard

geometryb   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:01. Posts 413

you forgot to jam turn

then you forgot to call river

vlseph   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:02. Posts 3026

he nearly pots turn, you can't really call this and not expect to stack off on river or expect him to check it to you unless he's super bluffy and gives up after like 2 barrels a lot.
i'm assuming villain will have a hand here, if it beats you, that i don't really know without any reads, but he does like his hand.

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

collegesucks   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:02. Posts 5780

jamming turn is stupid unless villain is absolutely retarded

geometryb   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:02. Posts 413

calling turn is fine. but river is definately a call

geometryb   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:04. Posts 413

i like jamming turn. there are a lot of bad cards that can kill action on the river like a Q or a J or a A or a 8 or a club (sort of). villian's line makes no sense which is a pretty big read that he is retarded....

collegesucks   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:06. Posts 5780

so... what does your one pair beat that he bets out on the river for value?

collegesucks   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:06. Posts 5780

do you seriously think he does this with Kx...

geometryb   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:09. Posts 413

yes

geometryb   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:10. Posts 413

well, the only reason i would clal turn is because he's going to spaz bluff the river so that makes it a snap.

collegesucks   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:11. Posts 5780

and against a sensible player if you jam turn you only get called by hands that beat you and fold out all worse hands, which is called spew.

jamming turn is a play reserved for absolute fucktards in my book.

just by looking at the hand, you can tell the villian isn't a "sensible" player

geometryb   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:15. Posts 413

villian is an idiot, you have aces. jam turn and get called by Kx or random hands before scare cards come.

villian is an idiot, going to be bluffing a lot so let him bluff the river.

collegesucks   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:23. Posts 5780

QJ, J8, 99, TT, T9, KT, K9, many pair + FD type hands, pair + SD hands, and Kx

you're putting too much weight into Kx and ignoring the fact that he's betting turn for pot AFTER you raised him on the flop. just because his line is unorthodox doesn't mean that YOU should spazz out vs. a pretty wide range of hands and let him make a perfect decision against you.

and sure his line makes sense... he could so be slowplaying flop and then bets out strong when the board actually does get incredibly drawy. he could easily have been semibluffing the turn with clubs, also.

collegesucks   United States. Jan 08 2009 17:26. Posts 5780

so unless you get called by all those draws and Kx a lot of the time, shoving turn is stupid

assuming he will because he bet/called the flop and lead the turn just doesn't make any sense to me.

Need info on villain plz

traxamillion   United States. Jan 08 2009 19:16. Posts 10468

flatting turn isn't necessarily standard here when drawing hands are the larger portion of his range and you don't know if he is like to fire on a river whiff

and collegesucks we do get called by those draws all the time by this villain

that river is a brick.

if you really think he donked out a backdoor flushdraw on the turn then raise there.

traxamillion   United States. Jan 08 2009 19:25. Posts 10468

he mAY have k10/910/qj and played it weirdly (maybe he was being fancy than wanted to protect when the FD comes in or is just playing it in a way he thinks will own your king)

the way u played it though you can't know u might be losing a lot of value vs KQ KJ many pair/draw draw etc hands

fakeshaver   United States. Jan 08 2009 22:32. Posts 1313

when i dont post any reads its because i didnt have any. exept he is from germany is all i know lol. he snap bet turn btw if that changes anything.

palak   United States. Jan 08 2009 23:44. Posts 4601

raise flop to at least 4...3 is to small...flat turn is ok if u r planning to call a non K/Q/J river...call river

dont tap the glass...im about ready to take a fucking hammer to the aquarium

DustySwedeDude   Sweden. Jan 09 2009 04:13. Posts 8623

I'd shove turn without reads I think.
