Love how your putting the USA as the whipping boy of torturing war prisoners. Yes its illegal and yes its wrong but some of these people are dangerous and are apart of dangerous organizations and have knowledge that could secure lifes all over the world. If you had a family member die in a terrorist attack which I haven't but know people that have. you might be a tad bit more inclined to do anything possible to prevent these horrible acts.

I understand all of the lives lost in Iraq and Afghanistan and its 100000x worse the 911 and i feel for these people. The justifications to go into Iraq were a bad beat.Many of these criminals are parts of terrorist networks and some of these people won't say a word and if it makes one more human being safe in china, Mexico, Russia, America, England you name the country its worth it. I know fundamentally its wrong and its illegal but name any nation that has had threats to its national security and guess what? THAT'S the reason they are turning a blind eye because they know that if it can save one of there citizens it is worth that course of action. Its easy to play a good guy but terrible shit is going on every day that we will never know of or could understand.
