It most certainly does not. Its not quite uncommon that goverment does something 95% of the population opposes. For some reason many people seem to view USA as a functioning democracy so its quite natural that they also blaim us citizens for all the shit usa pours over the world but I think that isnt very fair, even if there is some truth to it.

I have to say for everyone who is saying hillbilly rednecks etc, you only have the right to say that if you ever came to America and actually witnessed these types of people. They do exist, but you know what? I have never met any of these types of people in my whole life living here. Movies like Borat change your mind about America, because what do you see? Hillbilly's and rednecks.

I also have to say, our government, its too fucking confusing and retarded. I'm sure everything in the system is there for a reason and that I don't know much about. But I'm not going to say our government is retarded and be 1 sided. As humans, we like to do things that benefit ourselves. Hence, when we play poker, why do we make 4x pfr and etc? We do it because it will benefit us the most. But as the government, they do things that look stupid, but we don't even know the half of it and we make an instant ignorant decision.

All about the killing, torture... those deeds do indeed get punished for. Have you seen the news? Those people who tortured the POW were immediately discharged from the military and sent straight to jail for that shit.

So all in all, I want to live in a peaceful environment. I live in the US. I am happy. As long as there's peace in my country, I'm not complaining.

To Roald: You make points and back em up with citations which made me understand your side completely.

All in all, we are arguing over apples and oranges, it's something that we will always have arguments about because of some things our government does.

actually i lived in germany during clinton era and there were still mixed feelings. most people who hate americans because of all stereotypes listed are just as ignorant as those they claim to hate. people fear what they do not understand and most people do not understand the USA.
