Again, ive been in Texas 3 times, once in McAllen, another time in Dallas and another in Houston, and yeah the last 2 were really big developed cities, i am not claiming texas to be an underdeveloped state, im saying is a redneck state (AKA RED STATE).

Nationalist are in every country so even I who isn't an american citizen still finds this country an amazing place to live and grow up. Of course the standard of living in other countries for instance Denmark are better then Americas but the blind hatred to america because of politics is as absolute shame to the Americans who aren't right winged religious nuts.

I don't get why it's so unbelievable that people with nationalistic viewpoints would feel jealousy over what they understand as a stronger state than their own. What LiquidDrone said is based on a rational thought process but nationalism causes people to think irrationally anyway(not in terms of privileges,health etc).I'm not saying that jealousy is the main reason for antiamericanism and I'm not going to pull percentages out of my ass,but I don't see how it's easy to reject the idea that people naive enough to judge people by their nationality would feel jealousy over the current foreign empire.

My point is,many of the people who blame americans would do exactly what most americans do if their own state was the one bossing the world/starting wars. An analogy would be the way that people always put the blame on politicians about being corrupt/incompetent etc when it is fairly obvious that an honest politician would never be elected due to the apparent lack of class/insight from the majority of the voters.

This is pretty much why I do not "like" America.

I would actually love to go to the US and is planning a vacation to the US in 1½ year, I just woulnd't live there at the moment. Maybe when I've been over there, I'll change my mind, but in the current state, I would never dream of living in the mighty US.

This is all I have been trying to say. Most of you responding are taking my statement as a personal attack which I did not mean. Reasonable people an disagree about politics and I totally understand if many of you dislike the recent actions of the US government. On the other hand, people who hate all Americans individually or our society and culture in general are not being reasonable or rational. I think it is more than fair to put forward jealousy as the possible explanation for this nationalistic hatred. Unfortunately this whole thread is turning into a retarded flame war so I'm done with it.

i think the jealousy argument is fucking old and retarded imo. The reason for hate is probably exactly the reason most people agree upon: the actions of our government. Our government represents us as a people. And the thing that represents us is being a hugeeee asshole to everyone else.
