After a series of pre flop raises, Evan McNiff is all in for 813,000 with Ace-Queen against the pocket Kings of Nick Schulman.

An ace hits on the flop and Schulman can not catch up. McNiff doubles up to 1,650,000. As he was stacking his chips, McNiff leaned over to media personnel standing by him and called himself "a donkey."

HeRoS)eNGagE   Canada. Dec 17 2008 22:11. Posts 10896

Action folds around to Benjamin Straate in the small blind who raises to 60,000. Steve Landfish makes the call in the big blind. The flop comes K87 and Straate leads out for 100,000. Landfish pops him for another 150,000 and Straate makes the call.

The turn is the J and Straate slows things down and checks. However, Landfish is looking to play a big pot and puts in 300,000. Straate calls.

The river is the A. Straate checks again and Landfish bets only 250,000 into this 1.2 million chip pot.

With the board reading K87JA Straate moves all in. Landfish gives up his hand quickly and Straate takes the huge pot.

After the hand Landfish is down to 480,000 while Straate takes the chip lead with over 2,000,000.

Hand #39: Steve Sung raises from middle position to 80,000, and Evan McNiff calls from the cutoff. The flop comes 443, Sung checks, McNiff bets 100,000, Sung raises to 250,000, and McNiff calls.

The turn card is the 2, Sung bets 400,000, and McNiff moves all in, covering Sung. Steve Sung goes into the tank for a very long time (guesstimates put it around ten minutes), extending into the break.

Steve Sung is talking during part of the time. He asks McNiff why he appears so nervous. McNiff doesn't respond. (We have video of this hand, so you can witness it yourself.) Steve Sung starts theorizing what possible hands McNiff could be holding, starting out with a straight or a bluff, but expanding the range as he continues to talk.

Eventually, McNiff calls the clock, and the countdown gets to about 30 seconds before Steve Sung folds. Sung is so frustrated that when he gets up quickly, his chair knocks over to the floor.

Evan McNiff takes the pot, building his chipleading stack to about 3.8 million.

McNiff mucks, and Steve Sung wins a huge pot (4.4 million) to build his stack up to about 5.6 million. Evan McNiff drops down to about 4.6 million.

He's playing for 1.5 million $, and if there's even a remote chance Sung know what he had at this time while they both play for the title then well, he should keep it for him until it's over imo. You'd probably do the same.

Hand #9 - Evan McNiff has the button in seat 6, and the blinds are at 30,000-60,000 (5,000 ante).

Evan McNiff raises from the button to 150,000, and Amnon Filippi calls from the big blind. The flop comes J96, Filippi checks, McNiff bets 210,000, and Filippi calls. The turn card is the 10, Filippi checks, McNiff bets 525,000, and Filippi calls. There is already about 1.8 million in the pot.

The river card is the 4, and both players quickly check. McNiff shows AJ for a pair of jacks with an ace kicker, and Filippi mucks -- neither player had a club. Evan McNiff wins a very nice pot.

Evan McNiff raises from the button to 250,000, Amnon Filippi moves all in from the big blind for about 1.3 million, and McNiff calls with A5. Filippi shows AJ, and he's a dominant favorite to double up here.

The flop comes A76, and both players flop a pair of aces, but Filippi still leads with his jack kicker. The turn card is the 10, and McNiff needs a five on the river to bust Filippi here.

The river card is the 6, and Amnon Filippi wins the pot with two pair, aces and sixes, with his jack kicker. Filippi doubles up to about 2.7 million in chips. Hand #44 - Steve Sung has the button in seat 4, and the blinds are at 40,000-80,000 (10,000 ante).

Steve Sung raises from the button to 210,000, Justin Young reraises from the small blind to 660,000, and Evan McNiff reraises from the big blind to 1,390,000. Sung immediately folds, and Young tanks for about two minutes before he calls. There is already a little more than 3 million in the pot.

The flop comes 965, Young quickly checks, and McNiff checks behind. The turn card pairs the board with the 9, Young bets 1.35 million, and McNiff thinks for about four minutes before he folds. Justin Young picks up a big pot.

A few people chant, "Show! Show! Show!" and Justin Young acquiesces, showing 1010 for an overpair.

Hand #59: Amnon Filippi Out in 5th; Steve Sung Out in 4th
Friday, December 19, 2008 07:46 PM PST

Hand #59 - Steve Sung has the button in seat 4, and the blinds are at 50,000-100,000 (10,000 ante).

Amnon Filippi moves all in from the cutoff for 975,000, Steve Sung calls, and Justin Young moves all in over the top. Sung immediately calls all in for 3,595,000, and the crowd leaps to their feet.

McNiff shows AA, Sung shows KK, and Filippi shows 99. McNiff has both players covered, and Filippi is the short stack.

The board comes 744, and McNiff retains the lead. The turn card is the 3, and McNiff has to avoid four cards in the deck to bust two players. Filippi needs a nine, and Sung needs a king.

The river card is the J, and Evan McNiff wins the pot with his pocket aces.

Amnon Filippi, as the short stack, is eliminated in fifth place, earning $288,235. Steve Sung is eliminated in fourth place, earning $396,206.

Hand #58: Evan McNiff
Friday, December 19, 2008 07:41 PM PST

Hand #58 - Amnon Filippi has the button in seat 2, and the blinds are at 50,000-100,000 (10,000 ante).

Evan McNiff raises under the gun to 250,000, and Amnon Filippi calls from the button. The flop comes J73, McNiff bets 325,000, and Filippi calls. The turn card is the 2, and both players check.

The river card is the 10, McNiff bets 820,000, and Filippi thinks for more than a minute before he calls. Evan McNiff shows A-10 to win the pot with a pair of tens on the river, and Filippi mucks.

Evan McNiff wins a big pot worth nearly 3 million.

God, I hope Layne Flack will be sodomized by a rabid burro over and over again until FrinkX says "I like it" . Nice score anyway, and a well deserved one.

"Steve Sung raises from the button to 210,000, Justin Young reraises from the small blind to 660,000, and Evan McNiff reraises from the big blind to 1,390,000.

i asked him to show.

i folded QQ.

Rekrul   United States. Dec 20 2008 02:48. Posts 3338

he turbo ships KK preflop probably, he could be getting gay with AK by flatting pf but i guess not

AA is like the only hand that beats u, he can't have a 9, dunno if he calls pf with a pair lower than 88 he could easily hae 77 88 TT JJ AK AQ

it also looks like u have AK AQ or some trash after u check flop

how many big blinds start the hand 55 or 60?

Congratulations again Evandonkface.

That QQ fold would have been the most epic fold of life if you had some live tell and he tabled Aces. But as it is, that sucks.

the thing is frinkx 4bet is barely over 2x justin young's 3bet so if the guy isnt totally solid he'll flat his entire range almost half the time. I see it all the time online against players I thought seemed like regulars but have insane spews preflop with mediocre pairs and AQ/AK

uh u mean bluff my TPTK on that board?

i have obviously never made a fold like this QQ one and i look fucking retarded and i can just imagine mig's epic facepalming but whatever. i gave justin young WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much credit that I was so sure he deserved... I thought he was a lot more competent than that and I raped myself, fuck.

after the QQ hand i proceeded to fake tilt really hard and then the final hand happened and i lost AJ vs A9 for a whole lot of money yet again

o well tho cant complain i tried to punt really hard on day 4 to takeover but i got lucky, so ship it

Evan McNiff wins a very nice pot.

was that a 4 club board?
