Stars thinks I'm a bot

So while I was playing I got a message in the chat telling me to type a random word to verify I'm human. I emailed Stars about it and heres part of their reply:

What you witnessed was known as a "CAPTCHA", which is an acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing-Test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". In a nutshell, it is a part of the PokerStars software intended to ensure that our games are free of "automated players" sometimes known as "bots". Occasionally, players may be asked to complete a CAPTCHA based upon various aspects of their play. Exactly which aspects, or when a test may be triggered, or how often the may be triggered, is not something we can reveal.

I cant decide if this is a god or bad reflection on my game. Either someone complained that I read their soul or Stars thinks I play super basic machine BS poker. Or its random I guess. Anyone else ever have this experience?

had it happen twice in the past few months. once when i had a supernova freeroll + 1 other table up and once immediately upon starting a 4table session. never when i'm playing 9-16 tables.

You need to merge your ranges more imo

ive had it happen twice, once I was playing like 18 sng the other only 6-7

merge your bot and none-bot ranges is what sakisaki is saying

this happened to me on partypoker long time ago
i was maxtabbling ( which is i think 12 on party LOL) for many hours (something like 10-12h without stoping)

yeah it happened to me before once, made me feel good cause it meant I was actually putting in good hours of poker.

as long as they dont freeze your accounts / funds I ignore 90% of the things they send me

I had this happen once while playing like 18 tables but never since then.

just happens last week , had to write something too..i lost connection home and had to finnish tourney in one hotel lobby..

so it just shows up in your chat?

how the hell are you supposed to see chat when you are mass tabling?

explain plz cuz I'm planning on mass tabling like this whole month.. it'd be nice to not get banned :D!

it fills the whole chat box on every table, doesnt move until you do it
then its just like one of those verification things on websites, a picture of a word in the chat box and it says you have to enter it in the input in 90 seconds or sth(no idea if theyll actually do something if you dont)

i think almost every multitabling reg has had this ahppen at one time or another..

cept for me.. i kinda take it as an insult.. ive never grinded hard enough to b a bot lol

they say im related to a random account that I never heard about, and they 'flagged' me.

wtf is that supposed to mean?

happend to me once when i tried to 16 table 6max limit holdem. a message appeared in the chat box and i had to type in sth to confirm im not a bot

had this happen when I was 18 tabling fullring

I had this happen to me once when I was 3 tabling .01/.02 NL and playing like a maniac. So pretty much impossible to be a bot yet they still tested me..... It's probably just random for the most part, like they say.

I've never had it happen to me and I 24-tabled FR for pretty much the entire spring semester. Guess it's just random.

I had it happen while I was 1-tabling break even. I didnt even notice it for awhile. I told them it was distracting and I should be compensated for potential losses. I think they actually said "fuck off".

oh, so that's what that was. It happened to me twice, I thought it was a bug or something, so I ignored it both times.

lol I only play 6 tables and I am fucking wrecking my current limit, I have a feeling it is more related to the hours you play because over the Thanksgiving weekend I put in a lot of hands and I played at all hours of the day and didnt sleep much

I just restarted at Stars 10nl and trust me there is absolutely no need to merge any ranges when you are playing holdem and everyone else at your table is playing indian poker

Do bots even make money? lol, I would expect such a basic thing to lose. Can't see them being +EV

i wanted pokerstars to give me that test so badly that ive been 24tabling this entire year waiting

they sent me a mail asking me to complete a survey form regarding security at stars,how good I think it is,what improvements I think they require about bots/collusion etc. I think they sent it to all supernovas.
very thoughtful imo,plus they pay 500fpp when you complete the form so ship the 8$ lol
