instafold vs this villain
plus when you talk the only one that you could play mind games with is yourself, not a multitabling nit

deep is tough and causes more variance, don't play deep if you can't handle it properly but I don't think it should be a big problem at nl10.

fold, only thing u beat is AQ against most players. just think about what his 3BET calling range is and what part of that range would shove here. from the stats u have u can gather he's probly going to play pretty tight, therefore u beat nrly nothing in his range except sometimes AQ (which this type of player just calls the flop with most of the time imo)

Well i can't find the hand to post it here, but i called and he had KQ, i tooks his moneys

and the buyin in 10 dollars im at 17 because i won. not 25 and lost 8

i was thinking i should fold though. i thought he was on tilt because i won 7 dollars off him before

You must have put some legendary tilt in him if he called a 3bet w/ KQ and stacked off that lightly. Either that or NL10 sucks way more than I thought it did.

If you had asked me if I had Aces and then told me you had KK before I had acted I would have shoved over the top of you with complete air to rep the Aces. You had already talked yourself into the fact he had Aces which makes your call even more of a spew.

NL1K is only ever one drink away......Last edit: 03/12/2008 09:58

dont really think ur ahead much of the time against a multi tabling nit here

id still shove here tho coz his line makes no sense at all but then again .. its 10nl its not supposed to make sense

if he s a total nit ur crushed tho he d only shove like that with QJ QQ JJ

Fold on that board. The only thing you're a head of is TT and AK and that represents a very small part of his range imo.

it does, WAY more...

i call: do you think he overbet shoves w QQ/JJ? It's unlikely he calls a 3bet w JQ, so were most likely ahead here. I just can't imagine he calls a 3bet then overbet shoves anything that has us beat... And stfu while playing

u got someone to call u with second top pair in headsup?

only if he has down syndrome

it seems that you frustrated him
however it's almost a two buyin shove and you didn't have something to indicate he would spazz out and do something retarded like he did (or knowledge that he overplays his hands)at the time so a fold is still a better play imo
all the rest about "he can't have a set because he would slowplay" etc are nonesense, especially for nits. They get a good hand and they play it like that,it's all they know how to do. The times when a random nit will make a brave 170 bb bluff are rare and you should treat them like that, unless you have a clear understanding that they are frustrated

that's not a safe assumption to make
and if it was a read it should be on your OP

he wasnt bluffing with his kq, he just hit top pair and didnt know what to do with it, other than "im not gonna fold this"

I agree and he unknowingly turned it into a bluff when he overshoved instead of calling down
