Are these more profitable/faster at lower limits?
The 9 handed 1.+.20 regular SNGs seem to take a long while and often become a crap shoot when its down to 3-4 handed where the blinds are huge.
So I was wondering if the 10 handed 1+.15 DoN SNGs are faster or do the people just play tighter to make up for it generally? (I save a whole nickel on the rake too )
Also does this apply to all the DoN SNGs to a certain limit? |

I would assume you can get greater $/hr multitabling 9man turbos vs DoNs.
However i haven't played any DoNs - maybe try 2p2 stt forum, they have several long threads about DoNs so maybe something useful in those, or just post there and ask. |

I've been playing (usually 2 at a time of) these for the last couple of days now and I lost a few (because I played like shit). But as soon as I played standard its easy money. Don't even have to pay much attention to the tables at all (been reading forums), eventually blinds will kill people or force them to make bad plays and the game ends faster. Blinds raise every ten minutes and the profit per game is only 80 cents though and the games usually end around 150-200 BB limit with antes when there are about 6-7 people left they tighten up a lot because they just wanna make money. People notice that I am really tight and it helps later on if you are under or around 1000~ and need to steal some blinds to survive.
I should play more at once I think. |

So my session today won 10 lost 2, (2 while 4 tabling and taking a horrible beat). Each table takes around 40-55 minutes, lost 1.80 to rake and lost 2 = 2.00 , meanwhile doubled off the other 10 = 10.00
6.20 after about 4-5 hours, man what a grind this is. I should just move up stakes now. |

You have to play really tight untill the ante because there are fish everywhere going allin with nothing.
Usually i only play hands like AA or KK untill 2 or 3 levels and then play standard which works really well.
Already played like 20 DoNs at the same time for 5 hours, ended trippling my bankroll (Bankroll management ? Huh yeah i know..). Just be carefull once you're 6th and it's all good.

My ave in 9man turbos is 37mins at the 60s, id assume lower levels finish faster than that |

So I cheated a bit on my quest and started playing the 5+40s and they are just as easy. Don't think I need to worry about bankroll management as much if I'm playing this tight just to make the bubble. Its so much harder to lose. But I dunno, maybe I'm just lucky to not take many beats (only had 2 all in bad beats). I'm at 30$ now though. |

I know these guides say otherwise and I know probably that its best to just play basically nothing for a while but is it +EV to limp any pairs to set mine? And just fold if the pot gets raised pf (and ofc if I miss flop and I don't have overpair)? |

Ok, so I have been at this really really tight 5$ DoN now for like over an hour. 6 players, no one wants to play anything. I've been stealing a lot was up to 7k at one point. My friend is telling me its wiser to sit out and let them die, I on the other hand prefer the opposite and try to steal low stacks blinds every mid ranged + hand I can get.
So to end the game faster - Who is right?
PS- These guys just wont die, even when I call for pot odds and have 2 live cards.
Ok, game just ended 200-400 with 40 antes, lolol. |

I got bored and played one of these yest, i had never played one and didn't realise the structure was different. I got into a folding war with some dude on bubble, but was fine cause i could outfold him, until some asshat timebanked to make the blinds go up on me and obv i didn't realise 125/250 existed or had 25 antes and i lost the folding battle If its standard for ppl to stall to increase the blinds on shortstacks these would tilt the fk out of me - i remember playing a $700 step and the chipleader was using full timebank everyhand, cause 'if i make us play less hands the blinds will go up and its better for me'.
I don't think ive ever wanted to stab someone so hard. Also on a related note, when playing a live £1k tournament i actually did this on the 2nd to last hand of the day i was utg+1 and we had like 1min 30 left and tables redraw for day2 and i didnt want to pay my blinds, utg raised and i wasnt going to play my hand so 'thought' for a bit and then obv raised any2 last hand utg and didn't have to pay my blinds. My friend laughed at me cause some old nit did that at his table, except he was utg with 3 mins left and just sat there, as soon as my friend realised what he was doing he called the clock cause obv he wanted to pwn the nits, the guy didn't look at his hand till 5sec left.
So on day 2, blinds are 2k/4k/ante and there is a 15min break coming up, clock has ~2min left and some random utg just sits there thinking. Im like yawn dumb live players not knowing what to raise pre, then realise he was doing it on purpose as he looks up at the clock. Rest of table were faggot nits anyway and didn't care, and the only reason i didn't call the clock is because i figured letting him pay more for his next blind would serve him right. Someone at the table pointed this out to him, and he said he didn't mind he just wanted to make sure he didn't bust before the break..... This was like 40 ppl from ITM too so made no sense.
IDK where that came from but w/e, ya DoNs are gay! |

I would limp at 10 20 assuming i didn't punto any chips. After that i don't open limp pairs anymore, and will limp behind with other ppl etc. People are soooo bad in these things that once you actually get chips you should do everything possible not to lose them. I've seen multiple HHs where people are sitting out, or there will be 3 ppl allin in the next orbit and someone else busts with like 77 v KQ blind battle. Also there is lots of unintentional 'collusion' where people limp two cards and do all kinds of dumb stuff to try to make the shortstack bust, so if you aren't the shortest left then its pretty cool |

Exactly what i wanted to say. Although you have pay attention to not get miniraise and reminiraise and calling for pots odds or whatever. And i'd like to wait a little more still because early on it's useless and the other ppl can get everything which will just make you get harder decision.
Oh and lol @ spor getting overexcited for small thing like a fish saying : dude i'm the best at MTT i won my first 3 MTT in playmoney i'm god !
No offense ! |

These seem really easy. I've played 5, and every time at least 1 guy busted out really early by shoving with crap. Sometimes 2 or 3 people do that, and then it's like 7 people fighting for 5 spots. |
