Initial raiser was actually really tight player. I really only put him on 10s+,ATs+,AQo+. 3 better really didnt know much about him. He was sitting out for most of the time I had been @ the table. I really thought I had some FE here and I know I was planning on shoving be4 that raise happened.

I think I get it in with AKs there all day long with 21BB's. Calling then folding would be a terrible play, but I can see folding being justified as well if you have any reads on the raisers. |

i misread. thought he was original raiser. yeah his call makes sense given his 3bet but 77 is still weak for that, no? |

the other guys play is also fine, hes restealing with a legitimate hand (if he gets flatcalled by billyd77 he can push every checked flop which is likely to be quite a lot, and he hits the set every now and then anyway) which is the bread and butter in stackbuilding, then gets 4bet by another guy than the original better and needs to call because of amazing odds + likelyhood of AK..

and the fact that theres nothing wrong with 77's play shows you how correct you are to push with AK, when he does this with 77 he certainly does it with aq and quite likely with aj too, in fact he could be 3betting with far trashier hands than that. |

this hand is fine, i mean i guess you can make an argument saying 77 might not be a good 3b hand in this spot b/c OR is utg+1 and has 25 bb's .
edit: and your read is that he's tag |

I'm making that play 95% of the time with 7's in that spot with that stack. Folding to the AKs shove would be disasterous - Liquid Drone is right in saying this is the way to build chips at this stage in the tourney. It's key to winning tournaments and not just "min-cashing" |

I mean raising from that spot I really didn't put him on that wide of a range. I later talked to him he told me he had 6's. I wasn't sure if the 7's was good call cause I feel like AK was probably the only hand i was shoving here that he was still ahead of. |
