Hey guys!

I'm launching a new poker training website soon. It is currently being designed and is very close to finishing. We're looking for coaches.

About our site

I'll tell you a bit about the site. We're going to be focusing on micro/small stakes No Limit to start off with. I'm not going to try to compete with the big sites like DeucesCracked. The site is being professionally designed right now, and it looks great so far. I have a lot of experience with Internet Marketing and I'm 100% sure that I'll be able to sell this.

What will you be required to do?

You'll be required to create videos, articles and help out the site member. I'm not going to be slacking with the quality of the content, this is the most important part of our training site. I don't just want hundreds of videos of you playing. Sure, they help and we want some, but think of creating powerpoints, going through all the concepts as in-depth as possible, also reviewing hand histories for members can be a great way to teach.

How will you be paid?

There will be a flat fee per video / article. This is still being worked out but it will greatly increase as we grow. Just as I want quality content, you will be paid very well for it.

What else is in it for you?

I'll have a section for 1 on 1 coaching / sweat sessions with you. You can set your own price for this and 100% of the money will go to you.

What game types do we need coaches for?

Full Ring
6-Max
Multi-Table Tournaments
Sit n Gos
Heads Up

All low limits. I'm thinking 50-100NL and below.

So what do I do now?

Head over to Blind Aces Application and submit an application to become a coach. I'll get back to you ASAP.

I'm still working that out. At the start I'd like to keep it low so I can spend as much on advertising as possible for growth. But once we're more established I'm thinking around $150-200+ per video.

mmm, might I point out that a player can get cardrunners for around $30/month, so why would they choose to learn from a bunch of no-names when they could be learning from the best players around, and cardrunners has a significant amount of microstakes content as well.
I think if you are going to pull this off some key points are going to be super low monthly fee and easy to get started eg, low signup fee / can pay via site transfer

I'm not asking for advice on how to get members. I know how I'm going to do that. I've put a lot of thought and research into this. There's no need for a super low monthly fee. There will be no signup fee. We'll have a free 3 day trial and yes I'll allow users to pay via site transfer.

But thanks for the suggestions

the key problem is if u are paying so little for videos no good players will join u.

like im just a soso player at MSNL yet i wouldnt even consider doing this...

What would you be expecting to be paid for videos?

Bigbobm   United States. Sep 13 2008 03:31. Posts 5513

a flat rate for videos and a % of the site, or some other form of profit sharing. you need some sort of incentive for good quality videos, otherwise they will be shit quality.

Its time to stop thinking like a bitch and think smart like a poker player - ket

I won't be paying for any shit quality videos. If you're not up to making high quality videos, you aren't right to work with us.

you're going to have to fork out at least 1k per video if u want quality i think

good luck tho

well if u've done ur research u should know what the pros over at CR or DC get paid. your site should offer slightly lower wages for the coach but definitely need to include profit sharing for good coaches to join/improve and grow the site.

% of the company is pretty standard these days, esp cuz u Obv don't have enough start up money, that's about the only encentive ppl r gonna have to wanna grind out vids for a third a buyin.

Its hard to make a easy buck legally, its impossible to make a easy buck morally.

nebuer   Australia. Sep 13 2008 04:00. Posts 16

No I'm not L!MP.

I'm not offering a % of the company. This is obviously going to be a long-term arrangement and the payment is going to greatly increase as we grow. I've got quite a few applications from people who are already coaches. Just the fact that they're working for us means that they'll be able to charge more for their 1 on 1 coaching. That's an extra incentive.

I don't want people who are just looking to 'grind out vids'. Who is going to enjoy them or learn from them when the coach has a mindset like that when creating it?

It's up to you if you want to take the risk and work with us.
