Are we talking european techno or american techno? Americans will call anything remotely electronic techno, in europe it's a style of music that you will find in clubs a lot, just like progressive, minimal or electro.

among other things I listen to drum n bass, house, electro house, dance, trance, vocal trance, etc. etc. etc. but very little if any actual techno will reach my ears by my own will
