I agree with spitfire; shoving can't be optimal. His check/call + turn which completes straight + villain leading turn makes this a fold. Villain is obv trying to get this allin by betting almost half your remaining chips; praying he has lower 2p and shoving is -EV imo.

You raise big pairs PF so you wouldn't be in this situation. I am very suspicious when someone c/c leads turn. I find its usually a monster. If villain had weak holding like middle pair on the flop he would bet it to protect his hand. c/c lead screams I have a hand which im not afraid to play. Its much more likely villain takes this line with str8 draw or set than lower 2p ( wuda bet flop to end the hand with middle pair).

how does raising big pairs pre not put you in this situation? Are you really expecting him to limp/fold 55 BvB? People are terrible in the 28k and if you're not willing to get in 18 bbs BvB with top 2 pair then please please please sit to my right (or left) in any tournament.
