Pokerstars Analyzing Software

Hi, i'm a sc player and pretty new to poker. I've seen the mention of software that can be used with pokerstars that gives info on your opponents passiveness/aggression and I was wondering where I could dl it and if anyone has tips for how to best utilize it that would be cool too.

I tried searching but didn't find what I was looking for. Go ahead and close it if you can link me to something where this has already been answered/discussed.

i just used PT2 and a little PT3 but i must say Hold em manager looks even better i think i will give it a try

i never used PT3 but pretty sure HM is better than PT2 in every way(also built in HUD doesnt give any retarded illusion to the full price)

I've had PT2 for quite some time now but I stopped using it because it would slow down my computer so much that it would drive me crazy. I just bought HM and I think it is far superior to PT2 in every way.

i bought pt3 a few days ago, runs very stable and good and i have an old machine here.
I like it though i never tried HM. I put in all my old HHs, that's about 150k of hands, but still running smooth, nice piece of software if you ask me.

HM is the best and much easier to set up than pt2 + PAH and PT3 is full of bugs.

PT2 runs perfectly in every way, you're not using it properly if it doesn't.

i've heard the HEM is a lot better but i've only used PT2

in one of Krantz' videos he was saying HEM was so good that it's almost like cheating lol

HM us cheaper for micro stakes - 55$,also has more statistics and is lighter than PT3.

Stuff like %steal from small blind(some people will never really steal here, others will really take the piss)
cbets and fold to cbets in 3bet pots could be pretty helpful
you can see if someones ever raised utg and how positionally aware they are

How often their 3bets are from IP and how often they are 3betting from blinds
W$WSF if you think someone seems to be pushing the table around
how much of someones VPIP is from calling opens vs limping
steal limped pot can be useful sometimes(some people will just minbet every limped pot and its easy to not care)

donk bet% another handy one if you see someone doing it


Just a lot of stats really that theres no point in having up all the time, but if the opponent makes a certain action you can easily check if hes getting away with too much.

EDIT: Checkraising frequencies another pretty great one if you see someone at the extremes of usual range

of course you should try and notice a lot of these things but its less likely to be short term variance if you can compare with the total sample of hands you might have missed and werent involved in


If you have the ability to take mental note of every bit of action on the table and everyones frequencies then obv thats great, i just personally have severe concentration issues for ring games(id probably not even miss a hud in HU play) and i like to know if im jumping the gun on any of my reads

ggplz if you can mentally do all that why do you even use a hud? What difference is there in vpip and fold to cbet % really, they are both stats that give you information and stats you can manipulate easily mentally

(I'm not berating you i dont use a hud either because i think it's ridiculous)
