I thought I'd make this thread after seeing the thread for Felon.

All I have to say is this is seriously one of the best movies I've ever seen, and I highly recommend it to all of you. You won't regret watching it. I know someone lpers have probably seen Old Boy and thought it was a good korean movie but The Chaser surpasses it by a longshot imo. Hollywood is actually going to do a remake of this film but I know that it won't even be close so watch the original obv

is it super violent like all those other asian movies. I dont need to more teeth getting pulled with pliers lol.

there's a decent amount of blood/violence but not that's the focus and it's a really suspenseful thriller

you can also find this movie on the website crunchyroll.com(flash stream, decent quality) if anyone doesn't want to download the torrent. I also recommend watching Memories Of Murder, if you enjoyed watching The Chaser.

looks like the people who did The Departed are involved and Leo Decrapio is going to star in it, should be an awesome remake. I actually preferred The Departed to Infernal Affairs.

This movie sucked. It has way too many plot-holes for the events to be plausible or thrilling, more like frustrating and stupid.

In the beginning I thought it was going to be much better. Enjoyed it but I thought OldBoy was much better. I agree with Benjamin on the plotholes.

What I like about korean movies is that the atmosphere is kept real. Cannot smell any shittywood in it.

lol come on guys, everyone knows and has access to films like Leon The Professional, Se7en, Memento, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, etc. You can find them all on top movie lists like http://www.imdb.com/chart/top by doing a simple search. I posted this because it's not often that you see or hear about decent foreign movies and I think The Chaser is definitely worth a watch, and it would be difficult for most of you to find out about it unless you look at international box office charts.

And lets discuss the plotholes? I know one thing that most of you probably didn't get was what actually happened to the little girl. She got hit and run by the delivery motobiker that drove away, hence
plates and foods scattered around her. In Korea there's a ton of delivery boys driving around and if you don't know that it'd be hard to link the food to hit and run.

We actually saw the delivery bike driving away and yes the foods/plates etc made it sorta obv what happened (as well as there being nobody around at that time of night). I don't really understand why its a plot hole?

not really a plot hole, just explaining a kinda unclear scene to people didn't get it
