Anyone got the video from the main event? Was reading the play by play and was rather surprised by the judges scores. |

No video link, but watching it the judges decision seemed pretty clear. |

one of the most boring cards ive seen. in any org.
but i think almeida won rounds 1 & 3 pretty clearly.
also i think rampage won. it was really close though so i wont argue to much. everyone wants an immediate rematch but i dont. i wanna see wanderlei vs rampage. hopefully they do that instead of the rumored wand vs thiago silva.
for the rampage fight i score it like this.
1. Rampage 10-9
2. Forrest 10-9 ( maybe 10-8 )
3. Rampage 10-9
4. Rampage 10-9
5. Forrest 10-9
arguement on the second round. yes forrest had dominate position almost the whole round, but never was the fight in danger of being stopped. he didnt inflict a ton of damage either. rampage neutralized his mount pretty well. |

Watched it a few times now I don't see how judges had it 48-46 for Griffen, 1,3,4 were all Jackson and 5 was close as hell. |

forrest easily deserved the decision and he dominated the second round from the first second to the final sec and in result got the 10-8 which was well deserved also

So we should just completely forget the other 4 rounds in a 5 round fight and just judge it by the 2nd? |

5th could have gone either way, but how do you give the 3rd to forrest? |

I think the third round is the one where ramapage was on top most of the time right?
Most people would assume that rampage should take it because he controlled the round by being on top, but forrest was way more active from the bottom than rampage was from the top and forrest was very close to submitting him at one point. Also, rampage likely didn't get points for a takedown because forrest initiated it.
As for the fifth round, (as in every other round) forrest controlled the center of the ring the entire time and was always the aggressor.
So i believe it was scored 9-10, 10-8, 10-9, 9-10, 10-9 for forrest. Seems right to me. |

we went here with a bunch from the lp house and some others (rikd tom mig blair khan pooruser and apestyles) was pretty awesome to see it live. we put big bets on tyson/koscheck, smaller bets on rampage/tibau. after tyson and kos won we were already even for the night and freerolling the last two fights. turns out the cashier dude put our action on forrest instead of rampage so suddenly we were all cheering for forrest. pooruser/tom/mig/me all made $1500 from the event. pretty sweet tickets are expensive as hell its nice to get your ticket money back and some more.
the almeida/cote fight sucked but I liked all the others actually. Silva vs Cote probably has -1500 odds if it ever happens. I actually think they will just let silva fight LHW only till there's someone at 185 who doesnt suck. |

I had last minute money on forrest as a casual fan with a buddy while in vegas, but was surprised by the unanimous decision. Of course, we're no experts but even as we cheered for Griffin it wasn't clear to us that he won. And we also agreed that a tie should go to the champ. That said the leg kicks were doing a lot of damage despite not looking like much though - so maybe that was a difference maker in one of the closer rounds that we overlooked.
I have to say the sportsmanship of these guys was top notch (esp Rampage in a close loss) and their post fight interviews made be bigger fans of each. Dana White continues to do a great job putting out an entertaining product and running out fighters who are good representatives for the sport with a high consistency. |

so weird about the leg, i mean those kicks looked weak as fuck and rampage just looked like Crocop were the one who kicked him, also wtf is up with Griffin's knees on the clinch for crying out loud he has no power at all, he fought a very smart fight tho. |
