if i was u i would safe monney on motherboard dont make it 2 expensive make sure its socket 775.

if i was u i would make it more than 200 gig unles u dont want lots of games on it for 500 gig u pay like 100 euro take the cheapist in pice to gig mostly u can see it on the site like 30 cents per gieg.

on vid card u should ask urself do i want directx10 or is 9 fine if 9 is fine u can buy most expenive directx9 card available if not i sugest first series of ati the HDxxxxx or the nvidia 88xxgts or gtx if

monitor if u want big screen (bigger than 17" witch is pro) u should ask ur self do i need fast reaction on it because u can see fractions in the creen if the screen got higher ms than 8 ( best to take 2 ms screen) with highest contrast ratio possible

for processor i adivse u to not take quad core, take anny dualcore extreme edition they own.

for ram look on internet for like 2 gieg u can go 4 but its only advised when u run vista or something vista is crap imo.

if u got anny question u can pm me im prety good with comps and low cash

here is a list of graphic cards and their average speed ( after ~13 benchmark tests from Games and 3dmarks)

u can exactly see how much faster or slower in FPS a graphic card is on average compared to other graphic cards.

CF = SLI -> 2 cards combined

The 8600GT that Jase suggestet is a very bad choice imo
Radeon4850 is by far my favourite !
only costs ~ 160$ and is by faar the fastest card in that price category

- 20x DVD-Burner
- 512MB ATI HD4850

any 64 bit hardware
lots of ram
SATA hd power

the end.

there are tons of shit, hell go build one at dell and then go to newegg and mirror the parts.

it's not really difficult to find a nice computer, the only major decisions come into what OS to use and what type of video card.

But motherboard/processor/ram is almost always ez to figure out.

What's the difference between ATi Radeon HD 4850 and ATi Radeon HD4850 CF?

the difference is crossfire

there is a light at the end of the tunnel... (but sometimes the tunnel is long and deep as hell)

Well the test gives you some idea what to buy but isn't one truth on how big the difference is between graphic cards. 1k$ is 632€, I don't know how much parts generally cost in US though, guess it's a bit cheaper in there.

Also wouldn't buy P5K as it's old 35-chipset motherboard when you can get some with the new 45-chipset, it's not much of a use now but can make difference in the future. MSI P45 Neo-F is good and it costs as much as P5K does, at least here in Finland.

And Radeon HD 4870 is a bit more powerful than 4850 and has a better cooler but it's not worth the extra cost if you're going with a strict budget.

Core 2 Duo 7200
Ati Radeon HD4850
MSI P45 Neo-F
2 x 2GB DDR2 800MHz
Western Digital 640GB SATA2
Antec Sonata III(has EarthWatts 500W with it which is a good model, it's more the manufacturer rather than the nominal power, like 450W Corsair is a lot better than some 800W Chinese power which easily breaks and is way oversized)

+ some DVD-burner and a monitor which I can't help with because don't know much of them.

This probably goes a bit over 1k$ but like I said I don't know how much the parts would cost in US.

Raising preflop more than 10% is somewhat wild. 5% is average. Less than 3% is passive.

lol

CF is for ATI Radeons and SLI is for Geforce cards.
I means u have 2 graphic cards of the same type in 1 system and link them so they could work together.

So f.e if u have a 750$ computer system and add a second radeon4850
and link it via crossfire mode the overall performance will increase 57% on average.

I like this Thermaltake Armor JR midi case, http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp...egory=Comp&Gad=0&dcaid=15889,

But is the Atx LGA775 Intel P45 1600MHZ, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AULN28?s...&tag=cnet-ce-20&linkCode=asn, compatible with it?

I.E. is it going to fit and run properly inside this case?
